Packers never really in it despite getting within 6 points And the issues are overall (and that includes Jordan Love) ... we beat the teams we should beat and then struggle against the better teams. That's been the pattern the past 2 or 3 seasons Still, that's still a lot better than being a cellar-dwellar but we're not a true contender ... maybe next year

Came across a few more TV drama's that are worth a look 'The Diplomat' (Political drama and well made) 'The Night Agent' ('The Night Manager' from a few years ago is also very good) 'Monsieur Spade' (Set in the 50' & 60's, Clive Owen plays an American who is a Private Investigator in France) 'Saint-Pierre' (just out but looks promising) 'Patience' (also just out but with rave reviews) 'Slow Horses' is quite superb and 'The Old Man' is quite good

Newly released Nosferatu is quite superb and must be seen on the big screen for the cinematography alone. A full remake of the 1922 classic A Classic horror gothic tale but mysterious, dark & quite dramatic. Some have described the movie as a bit slow but there was something happening in each scene Here's the 1922 version, out in the public domain

49ers slicing through this Detroit defence. The question is can they curtail Detroits offense?

It's just my view but I prefer NFL games that are not free-scoring affairs. So I don't like the 30 yard rule and would prefer it if it was 20 yards The new safety rules that protect QB's, WR's and the like is enough as far as I'm concerned. Giving the offense extra un-earned yards seems unfair on the defense in my view

It's just a rubbish rule and amateurish to be honest. About as unfair as it gets and as Gonzo, mentioned, the sport is all geared towards scoring these days Especially when considering that a teams offense starts at their own 30 yard line on mostly perfect surfaces ... getting into the red zone is not all that difficult these days

Lions have nothing to play for tomorrow as they will still need to defeat the Vikings next week in order to win the NFC North (regardless of tomorrow's result) Atlanta leading 17-7 against Washington at half time and if they can win today, they can wrap up the NFC South with a win at home against the Panthers next week
