A Day at the Races
Tom Melbourne comes 2nd again! ... Comin' Through wins well though and is nicely weighted for the Doncaster (according to Waller)

A Day at the Races
We need to find out how to get JJ's tips earlier if possible ... the info has to be somewhere on the net.
-
A Day at the Races
They are different tips at Racing.com from those by James Jordan with the TV coverage. As far as I can make out he gives his tips out just prior to the race.

A Day at the Races
Alizee got too far back @Demon77 ... not far from the winner in the end in a blanket finish. The winner (Daysee Doom) too good though.
-
A Day at the Races
Bit late but James got his 4th winner ... Miss Identified. All quite short though so it's watch this space, Wadda

A Day at the Races
I'm on as well ... need a collect too

A Day at the Races
Yep ... it's either unexplainable or there's possibly a good reason. Tosen will be decent odds in its next run. It was beaten a long way from home.

A Day at the Races
Yeah D77 ... 'Sandbar' wasn't far away (1.4 lengths) in it's last run won by Santos. 'Written By' ran half a second quicker than Sunlight today as well. Races are raced with different tempo's so the time isn't the be all and end all. But as you said, the Slipper could be a beauty.

A Day at the Races
Nice win by 'Sunlight' although she didn't have it all her way ... needed the gallop according to the jockey & trainer.
-
A Day at the Races
Well James Jordans tips aren't the same as the best-bet tips on racing.com.
-
A Day at the Races
Well we know that James gives his tips out just before the race so that's something.
-
A Day at the Races
Well on Racing.com the 'Best-bets; were the same except the 4 was named 4th instead of the 7. So the first 3 picks were the same. Tim Edwards also put his tips up but I don't know anything about him. The 'Best-bet' picks have been up since Wednesday where as Tim's tips only went up today. I'm just going to keep an eye out ... are you on twitter Wadda? Maybe we could find out his tips that way

A Day at the Races
James Jordan picked the trifecta in order in the 1st at Morphettville. If he keeps that up we'll have discovered a licence to print money

A Day at the Races
Yeah Wadda I meant that if you took the first leg at best possible fixed odds (or enhanced/boosted odds) and then let the winnings roll over to the next leg where you bet the same way. The odds can end up being better overall by doing it that way. Anyway, I've done my usual bets with our picks ... multi up the 4 (out already with 'Hear the Chant' not winning!) and then a small outlay on the 4 trebles.

A Day at the Races
Alizee now out to 18.00 (enhanced) in the Coolmore Classic ... that's overs. A beaten favourite last start finishing 6th but only 1.8 lengths off the winner (Shoals) I've included it in a trifecta as a possible winner ... good/class horses always deserve a 2nd chance. A Day at the Races
By the sounds of it Cliff's Edge mightl be spelled now although the connections may be tempted to race it in next week's Rosehill Guineas (2000m) Hard to see the horse being backed up a week later over the 2000 metres though ... there's 1 or 2 other 200k races for 3yo's that they might target over the Sydney carnival. I really like the horse and it's front-running style. Australian Group & Listed Races

A Day at the Races
Alister Clarke Stakes on in 15 minutes ... Cliff's Edge is now odds on but should be too classy for this lot. Hope so anyway

A Day at the Races
So here are the 3 best bets (with 1 more to follow) ... Rosehill Race 4 No.1 Written By (2.30 enhanced) Flemington Race 5 No.1 Tosen Stardom (2.45 best available) Morphettville Race 9 No.5 Despatch (3.30 best available) A multi returns about 14-1 as Wadda indicated but backing the horses separately could return about 18-1 if you let the winnings ride. I like all 3 tips and I reckon we're in with a big show this week.

A Day at the Races
Going early with my best bet ... Flemington Race 5 (Blamey Stakes) No.1 Tosen Stardom (2.40) The extra furlong up to the Mile helps and with only 6 in the race, Rawiller should be able to get an ideal run for the horse. I also like a few up in Sydney but they are also very short

A Day at the Races
Which will probably mean James will end up in Sydney or Melbourne sooner rather than later ... could be a case of striking while the iron is hot! I'm bound for South Australia (trifecta style) And yeah, I watched Lite'n In My Veins win yesterday D77 and thought about the time you mentioned it as a former group horse in that Zephyr race when it ran 2nd. It's won a couple of times since and it beat a few decent horses yesterday.

A Day at the Races
I was very impressed with the bloke yesterday ... level headed, really knowledgeable and you could tell that Bruce was quite impressed too. I usually leave the form in SA & WA till last and to be perfectly honest, the form from those States is often just too hard for me to work out anyway (save for the big races) James' tips creates a shortcut which might just pay off.

A Day at the Races
Thanks D77 I think I've figured out that he does the tips for the South Australian races only (on the Racing.com website) For instance, the following link lists the Naracoorte races and the tips could well be his. Naracoorte Racing.com I've noted all the tips and will look at the results tomorrow night ... obviously I'm looking at James doing the work for me re trifectas at Morphettville on a Saturday. I enjoy doing the form for the Feature or Group races wherever those races are held but I find the non feature races to be hard work and quite difficult. I'd rather spend more time on the bigger races. Reading that article highlights how much science goes into the sport these days. It's incredibly thorough what with all the racing patterns and racing maps.
