  1. So the 3 picks combined in a multi win bet is showing a dividend of about 100-1 And any of the 3 doubles is offering at least 18-1 The 3 picks in a place multi adds up to about 6-1 (with a boost) Value all round For those who look to the colours for luck, we've got the Red & Blue covered (Mazu & Anamoe) and for good measure we've got the Green & Gold covered (Intellective) Good luck punters
  2. Was just talking to a mate about the race ... worth $4Million and it's a stellar field. Cox Plate-like Horses like Dalasan, Montefilia, Think it Over & I'm Thunderstruck are all more than decent and can all get into the finish (given a good run) Anyway, go the Demons tonight! We should win
  3. If Weideman continues to strive & fight for the front position (as he did against Essendon) he will make it and become a regular fixture in the seniors He has all the other attributes, he's athletic, he can take a mark and he's a good kick It won't bother me (or the MC I suspect) if he ends up running under the ball occasionally whilst playing in front. But 2nd or 3rd in line for the mark doesn't work I wish him all the best as we'd all like to see him succeed
  4. Yep, and the whining and constant moaning about McGowan is born out of petty jealousy & envy in my view. It's as if these types wanted WA to share our lockdowns, mask wearing and over run hospitals. And every State closed their borders when it suited as well. So we can do it but not WA? Hypocrisy, contradiction & an inconsistent argument often reigns supreme when it comes to these matters NZ stopped nearly all international flights for a decent period of time ... didn't see anyone complaining about their stance either Nothing to do with left or right wing politics either. Taken on face value he managed to keep covid out of his State and thus saved hundreds of lives. Perhaps 1000's of lives were saved. Kudos to the bloke Landslide victory resulted as well (53 seats to 4) so the people of WA love the bloke I do not lean left or right with politics so McGowan could be the leader of the Liberal party and it wouldn't change my opinion And let's not forget that the same people who stand behind McGowan also got behind our team in the finals. They acted like a normal Demons crowd (which was stunning) And the timing of their inevitable opening up coincided with Omicron being the dominant variant. So less deaths and less ICU patients than the Delta variant (?) There's the odd anti-vaxxer who has taken a different stance over there but they are part of a small minority group
  5. How about a 4 pronged trade result that went a long way towards helping the team win a premiership ... and maybe another flag or 2 as a result With astute trading that covered a number of seasons we converted Hogan, Watts & Tyson into Sparrow, Ben Brown, May & Fritsch In the Hogan trade we received pick 23 (Sparrow) and pick 6 (May) We also gave up pick 65 (a negligible pick) For Watts we received pick 31 (used on Fritsch ... still only 25 years old with 6 goals in a GF) And for Tyson we received Preuss in exchange ... we later traded Preuss for a 2nd round draft pick. And in that same trade period we acquired Ben Brown for a 2nd round draft pick (around about the same pick number as what we received for Preuss) And that's apart from trading and nailing all sorts of other picks from the 2012 off season onwards The net result is something that we can rightfully be quite proud of Probably one of the best rebuilds on record ... especially when we consider where we started off - ground zero?
  6. Well, I've decided to go with class in a class race ... might pay off but as you said, it's a very strong field. Think it Over is 40-1!! But Anamoe's recent form in the heavy is very good as well so it's a real show Might get better than 5-1 for Anamoe if the money comes for Duais & Zaaki (and Verry Elleegant)
  7. Best Bet Saturday Randwick R8 No.9 Anamoe 6.00/1.70
  8. The last 15 encounters against the Pies (in finals) 14 & 1 W/L record Overall might be 16-5-1 5 times we've exacted the 2nd Semi/GF double over the Pies and our overall GF record against Collingwood is 6 & 1
  9. Only audio here but I Am Superman just didn't run on by the sounds of it
  10. Hope so but the connections of these G1 winning colts are often quick to retire them to stud (as 3yo's) ... there's just too much money on offer Hitotsu has now won the VRC Derby, Australian Derby & the Australian Guineas That's a great feat! Fingers crossed they run the horse in the Spring at least (Melb Cup included) ... you'd be tempted to take the horse to Europe (especially Royal Ascot) or Japan And Nature Strip wins its 3rd TJ Smith. A true champion in the sprint stakes
  11. Hitotsu is one hell of a horse! And it can run in any sort of going ... too good! But will it race on? The Australian Derby win might be it's swansong. The money on offer at stud will be enormous
  12. Still alive in our multi's!
  13. So all 3 winning will produce a dividend of around about 115-1 (boosted) The good early odds on I Am Superman are no more ... into 6-1 now! The place multi which is showing about 7-1 might be worth a go ... or mix & match Good luck punters!
  14. Best Bet Saturday Bendigo R8 No.1 I Am Superman 12.00/3.20
  15. Damian Lane rides the winner of the UAE Derby (Crown Pride) ... another top Japanese stayer Previously Damian Lane has ridden some big winners in Japan so he's been sought out again The horse might be now running in the Kentucky Derby so Damian could be engaged to ride the horse in that time-honoured classic
  16. 7 races from the Rosehill card today to be run at Newcastle on Monday
  17. Sweated up and then played up at the barriers ... vets decided to scratch the horse
  18. La Mex late scratching!
  19. Rosehill abandoned I wonder when they will race these Group races? Maybe at another track in the next few days?
  20. Was on Daisies in the last ... overs? Handy collect and got a 3 leg place multi up as well ... in front going into tomorrow! Handy dividend with all 3 winning - 190-1! Don't rule out the place multi either ... about 9-1 But all 3 can win if they all bring their best. Fingers crossed! Good luck punters!
  21. Hindsight tells us that The Astrologist should have been held over to tomorrow! Marabi end of prep? Certainly got run over by nearly every runner September Run back to her best though - ran really well in the Newmarket ... that was the pointer. I had SR included in a trifecta but didn't really get close. Big dividends in the exotics ... even the quinella paid 450!
  22. At this stage The Astrologist is still in tonight's field (William Reid St.) so I'd say it's out of tomorrow's Hareeba St. But no rush on another pick Gorg as it hasn't been scratched yet Happy to wait until tomorrow for the final pick
  23. The Astologist is also entered in the $1Million William Reid St on Friday night ... and has drawn nicely in the No.1 barrier (and is an on-pacer on a tight-turning track - ideal) Although, Marabi is a big big chance to win the Reid St so everything else is possibly running for 2nd!
  24. It's been going on for decades but penalties used to be a lot more straightforward than they are now If one of our players is up on report then cross your fingers and hope for the best "Just tell 'em you were going for the mark" seems a good ploy
