Criticism or outright abuse (and worse) The bloke in question would have every right to be aggrieved by the vitriol pointed in his direction. Extremely hurtful especially when factoring in mental illness issues But we are creatures of habit and one persons normal can be another persons outrage -

No MD I'm just not going to tell people what the thread is. Says a lot to me that no one has got it yet It's just so obvious to those without prejudice or without blinkered views Also, I wouldn't dare post on the thread in question as I'm not going to take on the mob (without support) -

Others know ... ask them It's best that people figure it out for themselves because it then sends a message And I'm not being cryptic -

The thread I'm talking about is right in front of you ... I'm not surprised you haven't seen it because like many others here, you probably don't see the harm in those types of threads And I'm talking about another form of prejudice with a vicious nature attached So look a bit harder WCW -

There are a few people here trying to explain further on from "Racism shouldn't happen" versus those who are simply saying it shouldn't exist I'm way past that stuff so if racism is to disappear we first of all need to understand the why, how, where & when. Origins, instincts, fears, differences, education etc etc Do the deep dive and then it becomes clearer. For instance, most people (if not all) that I've come across in my life have had some sort of strong prejudice against something (often unfounded) Humans are flawed at the basic level So how do you fix that? -

Same person just face palmed me because I dared to come to the defence of someone else being vilified And I'm an anti-racist! Go figure -

'Say No To Racism' But I find it rather ironic that on another thread that is often running side by side with this one involves the vilification & abuse of a white man No one has come to his defence and even his family & children are being brought into the argument (by default) Sadly, many of you won't even know what I'm talking about such are the blinkered views of the mob I'm for fairness all round but people can't pick and choose in that area. Otherwise, hypocrisy reigns supreme -
Dalasan could form the trifecta in the Spring Stakes with Behemoth & Beau Rossa you'd reckon Gorg Perfect Route for 4th? Might sneak in for 3rd but your top 2 should finish 1 & 2. As you said, a good race The PB Lawrence (Caul R8) is another good race ... at WFA as well. Streets fav but I don't mind Red Can Man & Superstorm. Samson can run well too The other race with a few decent types running around is the Spring Preview (R7 Kembla) ... good betting race with Frosty Rocks slightly favoured

Yes Gorg, and the Winx Stakes (G1) is run a week earlier than the G1 Memsie Stakes both run over the same distance (1400m) at WFA ... but both races will attract strong fields Strong rivalry between the States but the punters are spoilt for choice as a result. I don't mind the competition at all and I'm sure the owners & trainers don't mind it either (or the jockeys) www.JustHorseRacing.com has the early fields up for both races with the early odds

And the Commonwealth Games & World Track & Field Championships are to be held only 4 days apart next July! Athletes might have to make a choice or perhaps compete in both (?) I've made a list of upcoming World Championships which will follow this post ... I've attended 4 of the events when they were held in Melbourne and there's 2 more coming up (Women's Soccer World Cup & Women's Basketball World's)

Well summed up TD ... I couldn't have said it better myself. It's been a fantastic Olympics, all things considered. The future looks good in a number of sports and we can really only improve in Track Cycling. The team sports can perform better but from an overall point of view, we have far exceeded my expectations We had a number of Track & Field athletes make finals and many of them can progress further into medal contention. And our medalists could all win gold in Paris (Barber, McDermott & Moloney) Our swimming team was outstanding ... 9 Gold medals is the stuff of dreams. All our other medalists & Gold medalists were just as outstanding I now see the Commonwealth games as another major meet so am eagerly looking forward to taking on England & Canada for top honours in Birmingham. Before that we get the Winter Olympics next February where 4 or 5 Aussies are genuine medal chances I've read recently that the Commonwealth games will be downsized after Birmingham to suit the host City (costs, profitability etc) so some sports will go whilst a few others might be added depending on the capabilities of the host City. As it stands, 2026 remains up in the air as to who will host it but again, the athletes need the competion as it is not just about the Olympics for the participants. Worlds, Pan Pacs, Diamond Leagues etc are all ultra important for the athletes

Just over a month before we kick off the season ... that came up quick!! Not really in the swing of things just yet but there is certainly a lot going on especially at the Packers! Stafford/Rams is an interesting one but it could be a good match-up

Same here especially with Jamie on board ... the horse was in the perfect spot to make a run down the straight but alas ... That's racing! 5 Group races next Saturday and the good horses running around again can't come quick enough!!

Matthew Glaetzer makes the final of the Men's Keirin (1.00pm) after coming a very close 2nd in his S/F! The order in the 6 man field will be very important for Matthew ... I don't know his preference but the 2 or 3 spot might suit (?) In the Women's Omnium Annette Edmondson is placed (12th) after 2 of the 4 disciplines Edit: Looks like Matthew could be in the 2 spot in the Keirin Final whilst Annette Edmondson has drifted back even further after being eliminated early from the 3rd (of 4) discipline in the Omnium .

2 more chances for medals in the Track Cycling tomorrow ... the Keiren (2 Aussies in the Q/F's) can throw up all sorts of results with its frantic finishes whilst Annette Edmondson is an experienced performer in the Omnium and could get into the finish We deserve another medal to break that overall record so fingers crossed!!
-
Fantastic Boomers!! We finally got that medal!! The whole team played well but Mills was extraordinarily good!! And Nicola McDermott put up great show in the High Jump. Silver medal a magnificent result!! Not far off Gold and it took a champion effort to beat her At the start of the evening if you'd offered me a Silver & Bronze I would have said ... yes please!!

Eleanor Patterson & Nicola McDermott can feature in the High Jump tonight as well (8.35pm) ... although the Ukrainian jumper (Mahuchikh) will be hard to beat. You just never know! haha
-
We're running out of medal chances TD! Boomers tonight (9pm) for a possible Bronze and McSweyn has a decent opportunity in the 1500m at 9.40pm After that, 2 chances tomorrow in the Track Cycling as I see it (Men's Keiren & Women's Omnium) but more so a medal chance for Edmondson in the Omnium

Good get Gorg!! But Grinzinger looks like it's got some sort of injury issue. Or just hasn't come back well
