  1. This is a term I find bothersome @Cranky Franky. I think it arrived in the lexicon courtesy of that footy stats mob. It's pretty meaningless I think. For example, how does Callen Wilkie, who is probably ranked elite by footy central, make the AA side ahead of May last year? And how does the big sook Harris Andrews get a game in front of May? Since the retirement of Rance, May has been the outstanding backman in the game. He's stood the best, and beaten them, for the last six years.
  2. Yeah - the clear miss is Cripps. Nine other clubs missed on him too. A senior recruiter from another club once told me that every other club would have taken Jack Watts at either one or two. The draft is part science, part Russian roulette. Sometime the barrel is loaded - sometimes it's not.
  3. I'm surprised they knew how to write '100'.
  4. Ch$t Kilda have had a messiah complex for 50 years. Ross is just another one in the conga line of false prophets.
  5. How many acres of farmland is he receiving OTB, and At the end of his career, I bet 2024 ends up being the standout year.
  6. Not sure you can count @adonski. Four home and away games plus four finals equals eight games. Having said that, Maynard and I went to the same school, so mercy and counting are not our strong suites.
  7. We are one good delivery of a trashing away from having a good percentage again. Things turn quickly.
  8. I love Salo. He's been a very good player, and although taken at no 9 in the 2013 draft, if the top ten picks from that draft were redrafted today, he'd be top five. We split pick two that year - essentially giving up Josh Kelly to GWR (i.e. Greater Waste of Resources) and receiving Salo and Dom Tyson who delivered two top five finishes in the 'Bluey'. Most importantly, Salo is a Melbourne premiership player. At worst most would say we broke even on the 2013 deal. Ten years on, I'd say we won the deal pretty handsomely. Thanks Roosy. So to answer your question @Cranky Franky, he's def better than the Jack Dyer good ordinary.
  9. Why? Because we are four points away from sitting fifth on the ladder?
  10. Ask not "are we fit enough", but are we pretty enough?
  11. His name is straight out of the old testament. Seeing him run-around with us is a sign from God. Do we move Hudson to CHF?
  12. Just checking . . . is that the same James Harmes that runs around with Foostcray in the VFL? Yeah - he'll be the difference Melbourne being pegged to the lower half of the ladder and being premiership favorites.
  13. Do you think Jeffo's growth and development will develop over the next week or so Lefty?
  14. A lot of people arn't happy with stafford @Left Foot Snap. Frita ain't alone there. But thank goodness his hair is all good and ready to go tomorrow.
  15. How did Frita's hair look today @Left Foot Snap?
  16. I did myself a Molly Meldrum and decided not to read this thread. Here's what I recon has occurred. Discussions have lead to a cascade of vitriol, where uninformed comments quickly spark heated debates. Anger seeps through the threads, with posters lashing out at each other over misunderstandings or differing opinions. The conversation devolves into a battlefield of words, each side entrenched in their viewpoint. Frustration mounts as the back-and-forth continues, with little room for constructive dialogue. Ultimately, the thread becomes a testament to the chaos of online interactions, where resolution is rare and tempers flare easily.
  17. Employed has numerous meanings, including the transitive verb 'to use advantageously'. For example: a task that employed her skills. I read @WalkingCivilWar's post in this sense.
  18. And have someone like OMac at BrisVegas run through him and he ends up in a wheel chair?
  19. The standard is very, very ordinary @Cranky Franky. I'm not sure a highly tuned footballer would derive much benefit from running around at Casey quite frankly. Few can hit a target down there as well.
  20. I wonder when posters say things like "petty/oliver/fritta etc.) need to go back to the 2nds", if they have any idea that there is zero talent in the ressies ready to replace them?
  21. Maybe we move to plan Z. It's been done previously.
  22. It's so pathetic that posters despise the arrogance of Chris Scott at PBP. Yet, few on here are prepared to acknowledge how good Norf played today, and indeed over the last three weeks.
  23. Crowbots sack Nicks Goodwin to Crowbots Western Bullflogs sack Bevo Bevo to Dees Crowbots appoint Roo coach, president and CEO
  24. I clicked on this thread because it said "HOT 432 replies". What a sucker I am.
