  1. I'll jump in an available spot if there is one, wouldn't be able to recall my last years stats if I tried, but I don't think I did terribly, team name Match Fixers.
  2. Jack Viney came to the club to meet the boys and win a brownlow, and he's now he's met all the boys...
  3. Would take Toumpas over Hogan is he falls through to pick 3. Wouldn't mind trading pick 4 but then again keeping pick 4 would make me just as happy.
  4. For God's Sake please don't give them pick 4, there's too much quality in this year's draft to give that away, especially to the filth. I rate Wellingham, and wouldn't mind picking up Dawes but pick 13 plus a player is ample for these 2 players. Demons do not even consider it.
  5. Wellingham's manager says if he stays in Melbourne he'll be at Collingwood, on Trade Radio I believe
  6. Surely with Melbourne seemingly going after quite a few different players, it means that we should be preparing for quite a list culling. Good signs ahead...
  7. Ok thanks for clearing that up, I'm assuming that means though that if Viney goes through to the 2nd round anyway we'd be offering pick 4 and not 3?
  8. Sorry but can someone explain why we would trade pick 3 instead of 4 for the MD pick? We tell them we're only interested in trading pick 4 and their options are either take it or take the bulldogs offer of pick 5 or something like that, I know which one I'd take. Assuming Viney falls through to the 2nd round we now get a pick 3 kid instead of pick 4. Or am I horribly missing something here? Please let me know.
  9. Great Vid, loved watching every bit of it Song captures the mood beautifully, keep up the good work!
  10. Money obviously plays an important role, but most players need another incentive especially when there are other clubs willing to pay the same price, what else is there that we can use?
  11. With the recent departure of Moloney it raises a question in my mind. How are we going to attract new players to the club? We've made a play for Boak, don't know how it's holding up. Some of us would like to see Josh Caddy in the Red and Blue in 2013 as well. But 2012 was a really poor year. What would make a player join a club that, if not for GWS and GCS, probably would've only had 1 win for the year? Money isn't much of a problem as we have a fair amount of room in our salary cap. Can we still convince others that we are heading in the right direction? Or will they see the departure of Moloney as a steer clear sign? What do we have to do to put ourselves above other clubs in preparation for and during the trading period to lure players to this great and proud club?
  12. IMO Brett Ratten was rather harshly treated to have been sacked. Nevertheless, if he for some reason doesn't get the coaching job at Port I think Melbourne should make an effort to recruit him again. I rate him very highly as a person and a coach and think he would make a fantastic addition to our coaching squad. Should we make an attempt to lure him in again? Cheers
  13. Beams has been at a club that has the money and therefore coaching staff and facilities etc. to develop young players quite well, something Melbourne hasn't been doing too well. The fact that he has already been developed by a club like Collingwood makes him much more valuable. He's only 22 and would be a perfect addition to our midfield. To be perfectly honest I would much rather pay the money for him than Cloke at the moment. With Beams and Viney teaming up in the middle along with other's like Trengove, Jones and even Grimes and McKenzie, we would have an extremely bright looking midfield. But of course Beams is going to be one of the last players Collingwood would let go, Eddie will start trying to declare war on us and we'll never hear the end of it.
  14. Hmm. Yeah, after looking at that video, I'm not that impressed either.
  15. Great to hear that we've secured Mitch Clark. But does anyone think that we should still go after Jordan Lisle as a permanent key forward? Because we may want someone down there while Clark's in the ruck. It would be, kind of, like the way Collingwood have Travis Cloke and Chris Dawes. Suggestions...
