If the changes in Aussie rules are going to be significant spare a thought for the Rugby and Gridiron codes and the velocity of the hits delivered there.
Aussie rules is possibly the most adaptable in regards to changing of rules to mitigate concussions without impacting the core product imo.

Plenty of deals have been torn up at the last minute.
Terrific to have some insight from posters but until the club announces it I’ll remain cautiously (but very) optimistic.

Mitch Cleary on the tradies podcast stated that the deal with Kozzie from the Melbourne camp is that its really close to being done. There's been a shift.
"Tracking the right direction" with the club and his family being on board.
Talk starts at 7:55.
When I saw the vision of Kozz and Trac in his hometown I also got the feeling that something was really starting to cook.

Coaches votes are in.
Goody couldn’t even give Oliver a single vote for 41 touches.

May looks lost without Lever.
is this real?

Oh man, I thought we have it bad driving home, one of our DA-ers is sitting next to Brad Scott on the plane. 😑

Turned it off at half time knowing what the result would be.
Terrible display of football.
We are much better than that though. Hopefully a blip on the radar.-

Let’s hope the coaches have sorted some of that [censored] out.

Average, they have too many bottom end players. I would be surprised if they win more than 10 games.
Their supporters have a high bogan element as well.
Why the last sentence?

Working beautifully tonight @Demonstone
I wish Demonland had carton fines for this type of thing.

Is it? Why do you care if he plays well?
He’s not a Melbourne player anymore and the worst he does the better for our chances of getting a top draft pick in return for him.
I have zero investment in his career. Can stink it up for eternity for all I care. I’m here only for the benefit of Melbourne. The first paragraph was sarcasm.
The second paragraph is accurate.
Take your pick.

Good to see Jacko contributing so much to Freos score.
He should get a slight reprieve from their gormless supporters-

That Fogarty kid is turning into a weapon.
What a brute. I’m glad we’ve got May because there’s so many defenders in the league that just wouldn’t have the strength to contest a 1 v 1 with the Fog.-

I wasn’t there but sat in that area for the 21 PF hiding of the Cats. All the Picketts were there then so it might be their seating.

Nev is from Carey Park in Bunbury, not exactly outback, but I do agree he is someone’s who will consider Kozzie’s best interests in any advice given.
I was sitting near Byron at Optus on Sunday, good to see him looking happy and healthy and supporting both his nephew and the Dees
Level 3 just inside the 50m arc?

Well eight of the Gather round games have been sold out so there seems to be significant enthusiasm for the round.
AFL not as stupid as you thought.
I don’t think he’s much of a fan by the sounds of it.

I thought I'd share this interview with Darren Bennett I listened to today, the interview runs for almost an hour and is on the podcast "A Yank on the Footy" which is hosted by an American who has fallen in love with Aussie Rules.
It touches on his AFL and NFL careers as well as some of his experiences which were pretty heartbreaking such as losing a close friend when he was a teenager and also losing his son (who had muscular dystrophy) in the past couple of years. Bennett was a favourite of mine as a kid (I'm a sucker for the goalkickers) so it was a great in depth listen of someone I haven't heard much of for some time.

PODCAST: Judd McVee Interview
in Melbourne Demons

Ask him who’s more intimidating- May or Lever?
How has their influence and direction helped him on-field?
Ed: as I believe Salem has been his mentor preseason.
