  1. Yes there's no reason why talent can't be found outside horse. Angus Hastie one example of someone who shows a bit.
  2. As per Jack, IF true that would be a massive overs offer. In points WC would need to come back with pick 10 for a parity outcome if you assume our F1 would fall at around 18 or so. Higher than pick 10 if our F1 was likely reap a better outcome. As his adversaries often responsed to agent 86's far fetched excuses when he was caught red-handed spying... "I find that hard to believe"
  3. Might have been some irony in there
  4. Reminds me a little of he who shall not be named
  5. There's the obvious Harley @ 1 then a bit of daylight imv. Followed by a clump of potential VG players from 2 to about 8, at least for our potential needs. No doubt some talent outside of that but is O’Sullivan a priority for us on a needs basis with Turner & Adams coming through at Casey? Just comes back to each club's positional needs for mine. If we can't grab Sanders or Caddy i'd be open to trading up to get who we want (Duursma?) but not three 1sts. I can see a three way mega trade deal happening between us, the Roos & WC in the final 48 hours or so IF WC are open to it of course. WC probably doing the right thing by their club if they utilise their 1st pick to get multiple picks. Mind you Harley is a great asset also but they need more than just one gun imv to start building and moving up the ladder. A mega trade ensures the three clubs come out the other end of the sausage machine with their preferences, or fairly close, and seems the logical course.
  6. Crikey. Must've been some interesting 'fly on the wall' moments over the years then Mr Old. Don't let her within a bull's roar of this site. She may not speak to you again!
  7. Glad to see you stoking Jaded's fire Uncle. A bit too layed back at times so a little prod here and there can't hurt...
  8. I had no idea Mrs Old was also a Demons supporter before you met her. Impeccable taste OD.
  9. I wouldn't count on it. A big bonus if he ends up becoming a regular at senior level. That's probably unfair as im only going on his brief highlights and career stats and genuinly hope he turns out to be a handy player at the Demons. But aside from his ruck work (where he has a slight edge over Shack) and forward work (where, believe it or not Shack has a slight edge), him and Shack have eerily similar (poor to very poor) career averages in the rest of their general playing stats. Anything's possible i guess but i reckon he would probably need at least 2 pre-seasons in our system before posssibly showing any significant signs of improvement. Is he signed on for the '25' season?
  10. Get it right pls Luci ... Skynet! I suggest everyone starts using the correct name unless you all want to be terminated...
  11. No better time than '74' LD. One Aussie dollar was buying 1.48 USDs! Unfortunatley it has spiralled into insignificance ever since being floated with one very short lived exception in 2010.
  12. Yes that was true LD. Loved the look of them but i used the coke version mostly as they spun better and better balanced. Possibly a tad wider and smaller diameter? The strings often had to be reset on all of these to get them up to speed with 'trick' attempts. I could do the three main tricks (and still can) but have never heard of DC's three leaf clover. The key was all in the wrist snap. As a young fella (about 10) i was deternined to learn the 'how' and at least master the three basics. One week i practiced so hard my bro, who slept in the same room as me at the time, said just after i'd fallen asleep my right arm was hanging out the bed and motioning up and down as if i was still throwing the yo yo in my hand. On a trip to Hawaii in '74' we went to Waikiki's then famous International Market Place and they had light up yo yos! Couldn't believe it. Bought a few back with us. Extra heavy with the batteries but looked amazing at night. Especially doing the cradle! One of the cheapest but most fun toys as a kid for mine. I moved on to nanchakus a few years later. Lots of fun also apart from a couple of hits to the funny bone!

  14. My Fav was the Fanta. Harder to find than the coke ones now and even rarer to find one in VG to 'near mint' condition.
  15. So they were the ones behind the mystery thread culling. Just another example of driving two once thriving threads into the ground in their relentless pursuit of productivity & profits. Bloody corporates!
  16. Yes same here to Mon. Sounds like a very tough period. All the best
  17. If we lose Sanders to the Dogs is Caddy not possible at 6? The guy has everything you would want in a medium forward and can probably play minor mid minutes as well. Looks to have some run, agility and smarts with ball in hand. As a forward... ✅️ Reads the ball well ✅️ Takes marks at the highest point ✅️ Decent leap which should hold up well even against slightly taller defenders. Might be a few centimeters taller in a couple of years as well? ✅️ Sticky hands ✅️ Good body work in a 1 v 1 ✅️ VG agility and mobility ✅️ Vg on the lead ✅️ VG over head (playing in front or behind) ✅️ Lovely drop punt technique even at distance ✅️ Good snap technique and knows which one to use when ✅️ The last two appear to also come with decent accuracy Our need for a quality outsideish mid with some foot speed and finish is more pressing but if we can't land Watson, McKercher (both will more than likely be gone by our pick) or Sanders i reckon Caddy would still be a great pick up.
  18. That's a potential improvement provided they can remain on the park for the most part and we can clean up the way we bring the ball in (more so for McAdam)
  19. Billings as we're looking to trade Chandler in a "move up" deal involving him with picks?
  20. Not a huge diff but MAYBE (with our HP & development side kicking in) a marginal upgrade with more potential upside ... why did we we go for Fullarton over Koschitzkea. Both have struggled but Jacob seems to at least lead / mark strongly. Decent length to his kick and doesn't seem to mind the contested side. Would've also come cheap.
  21. According to Curtin no one has put 'alot of time' into him so far, even WC. He's had chats with them but nothing extraordinary if he is to be believed.
