A bit too far OD surely? I live on the east side and it's 45 minutes minimum from here. Imagine anyone like admin, FD staff, players etc living Nth, West or Bayside (many AFL players live in these leafy salubrious burbs). Must be taking them 1 hour plus to get over there. Wouldn't be all that appealing to prospective players we might be trying to lure across either imho.

Jefferson's physicality is slowly improving. Throwing himself in to some heavier contested marking now. He's clunking the odd one here and there. Even the best drop a number of these at times. Hopefully he's using the grippo plus his hands / confidence should improve over time. Another off-season and we should start seeing something pretty special on the horizon at some point in 2024. Fingers crossed as he's a nice mover and decent in front of goal when he's on. Very natural and relaxed with his set shot. Can see him as the medium sized tall that drifts across and in front of packs at times a la Fritta and the Duke. Hopefully a much better kick at goal than Earl.

Asked Bowzer about this possibility over the weekend. Said he could see it happening at some point but felt he'd need more serious training time to pull this off in terms of making it a permanent (change up) role from what he's currently used to. Forward craft learnings needed beforehand. Suspect the goal kicking training is for the occasions he does drift forward and gets the odd shot at goal.

Yes they generally ease Hibbo in with some limited game time at Casey prepping for a return from a niggle etc. Sometimes a few weeks of this to get him cherry ripe & rinse out any residual stuff. Difficult to see how he comes back unless the oppo are presenting a smallish forward line and we don't need the 3 talls. Petty out managed for a week or whatever? Not saying this will happen either.... just saying. Certainly can't see it in the next few weeks as Casey are on the bye and Petty's just settling back in. Unless of course Petty's own niggles see him outed at some point.

Time to put the 'Kozzy Form Slump' bias to bed!

Casey have the bye this week so i doubt he'd be on the MC's radar for now. -
Apparently so. I'll just leave this here as a little reminder just in case anyone's forgotten...

AFL won’t move Cats vs Essendon game
Demon Dynasty replied to biggestred's topic in Melbourne Demons
$142,000,000 from the state. Plus the rest that came across prior. Here we are still looking for a home base and just been kicked out of AAMI for the WWC And our reward from the AFL ... the team that has the displeasure of playing the most games at GMHBA. -
Yes unfortunate news. Was in some very good form but likely out for the remainder of the season.

No fear and hits in very hard for his size. Fabulous 2nd efforts even after losing the odd 1 v 1

Copped a heavy knock in the latter half of the third quarter. Not sure but might have been a bit of a corky and with game in hand they decided to spell him in the last?
-
Broke his left wrist in a training mishap
-
All good just severe cramp
-
Nothing substantial... just a double cramp higher up that buggered him late in proceedings.

He started as a winger at Casey before being pushed out to HB. Might get a chance for us here at some point. Maybe not this season though bar injuries.
-
And of course as soon as a compliment Dunstan by hand he coughs a couple up 😆
-
Very versatile. Maybe the tank but has got better the longer this game's gone on and as it's opened up. Very classy. Can see either him or McVee on a wing at some point no problems.
-
Would consider Shack in for Grundy this week IF Max is fully fit. As you say, can pinch hit for Max and a much more dangerous proposition up forward vs either Max or Grundy. Play Dunstan as the sub. VG in congestion. Brilliant distributor by hand. Help out the mid field later in the match. Especially given Tracc will probably be playing less mid and more forward minutes.
-
Some of the delivery's been a bit ordinary. Under blusty conditions though. Might help if the Jeffo & Roohey worked to get front position a tad more
-
Nice to see Maxy, Lever, Sparrow, Salo, Petty, Spargs, JJ, Macca, Viney, Gus, Smithy, Nibbler & Tracc down here in support... go the Moose!

Round 17, 2023 Marvel Stadium - Saints vs Demons A significant lift on the team rating but still 7% off this season's average. A fair part of that no doubt the Clarry effect. May winding back the clock to eclipse his 4.300 rating in Rnd 10 vs the Power with his best result for the season. Maxy a bit of a concern, 26% off his season average. Kozzy falling off a cliff.... down a massive 72%! McVee well up on his usual output. A bit strange as i didn't notice him as much as i usually do. Would be interested to know what others thought of his game? Ruck assistance up forward for sure. JVR a critical 'IN' from here If we're to perform well in Sept. We continue to play Grundy for significant minutes in third quarters. Unfortunately this allows the oppo to dominate the CBs and swing the momentum back their way. Goody & Co. need to review this strat. Max starting CBs from the opening bounce and playing most of the time there in third quarters is a must if we're to have a chance against the really in form clubs imv.
