  1. No email, which is weird, but I think most people get the gist by now. Ticketek website confirms the above timelines. If you go in and put your usual barcodes it will say 'tickets available at 1pm'. But if you're level 1 reserved seating and you try to put the barcodes at 1pm it will say tickets available at 3pm. Every week I try for 1pm just for [censored] and giggles (and also because I have a 3pm zoom call every bloody Tuesday!), and every week it says 'good try come back at 3pm'
  2. How are we at more of a risk to be kicked out of top 4 than the other 3 below us who have won one or two less games?
  3. Literally nobody wants shorter quarters except Scott and lazy commentators who can't think of enough clichés and boring stories to fill up 30 minutes.
  4. And of the 3 Vic sides, we are the only team that plays at the MCG regularly. Geelong has played there 4 times this year, with just one more game against the Tigers to go. Dogs have only played there twice, with one loss to Richmond and have just one more game there against us to go. If we can stay injury free and Covid can get off our [censored], we are a chance.
  5. It’s going to be wet. Everyone needs to calm down. Every time we play poor sides we play like poo. It’ll take any win.
  6. Anyone got more than 2 tips this week? Bring on that North “mathematical” finals chance ?
  7. What a great result. [censored] West Coast.
  8. I literally thought this game would be awful and didn’t bother watching the first half. Really good game now!
  9. And a pretty good goal. In a round where nobody could kick a regulation shot he just slotted that!
  10. Well I jinxed them. Norf back to normal programming.
  11. West Coast losing to Norf is the biggest lol of the season. Not done with yet but they’re making a good go of it. I hate Norf but gees it’s nice to see those booing border-shutters lose.
  12. I didn’t realize Oliver was taking all 5 shots. My apologies.
  13. Oliver is ridiculously underrated by the footy community and commentators. Luckily those who really matter rate him as the best mid in the competition.
  14. They were at home when they weren’t out shopping with their list of necessities like bed frames in IKEA, cushions in Kmart and gym leggings in Bondi.
  15. Knowing Melbourne we would go 0.5 ?
  16. No email this week. Assuming it’s same as normal. 1pm for reserved seating level 2. 3pm for reserved seating level 1.
  17. Jake Stringer is next level. What he did to his poor partner is disgraceful. I got to know Abby through some content work we did with her at my old job. He is a lucky man that she is such a lovely and understanding person. In her position I would have thrown him out with yesterday’s garbage.
  18. Have to agree re: Gawn and Robbo. Both really nice guys. I have to say Jack Watts is also really lovely. He went to school with some good friends of mine, so I have met him a few times and he was really really nice. I know he has a pretty poor reputation off the field, but I can't say a bad word about him. Can also confirm Jake Stringer is an even bigger [censored] off the field as he is on it. I loath him as a human. Absolute lowlife.
  19. I agree. Their midfield is wonderful but they are not fans of pressure. When teams win contested footy against them, they respond poorly. So far they have proven to be fragile in big games.
  20. Also investing some money into junior umpiring, so we have some decent umpires coming through. We've lost a few good ones to retirement and they have been replaced by absolute bottom of the barrel D grade umpires and even worse ex-footballers. If we made umpires full time employees or at least took umpiring more seriously, the standard may get a hell of a lot better making games a hell of a lot better. The only thing that has been awful to watch this year aside from umpiring, is goal kicking. The goal kicking standard has been woeful.
  21. These probabilities are so stupid. As if Brisbane, PA or Sydney will not make the 8! What sort of world ending zombie apocalypse do they think will take place outside of Victoria for these teams to drop out? Also strong LOL at 'mathematical' for Adelaide, Hawthorn and Norf. More mathematical they tank for draft picks!
  22. Yep, here we go again. People doing the wrong [censored] thing constantly because they are selfish. I hope like hell he did not walk around crowded inner city Melbourne, but instead made a few stops for fuel/food in remote areas. Somehow I highly doubt it. He probably went to Chadstone, Bunnings, Kmart and the Pies Richmond game ?
  23. 100% especially when we can't attend half the year thanks to Covid! The more we tweak the game the more we adapt to it. If you want to make the game better, get better umpires. Simple.
  24. I should add that I've met some really lovely footballers over the years, who were kind and respectful. Like in every walk of life, there is always that 5-10% of scum. I do remember however beating the Saints in that final where Carroll starred and we went out afterwards and got fairly wasted and ran into Nick Del Santo and I told him his team sucked and he was quite nice about it, which was very gracious of him. I was a drunk brat in a Melbourne scarf and he just laughed it off. I guess if I was a guy maybe he would have reacted differently.
  25. Unfortunately this is not such an uncommon occurrence. A 'friend' (no longer) of mine in high school was going out with a much older footballer who was also married with kids. Another friend had a fling with a Melbourne player, when she was only 17 and he was 25 or 26. He was single, so at least there is that. This happens all the time, and I dare say it is more frequent now that footballers have social media and so are easily accessible. The only way to get it on with a footballer when I was in high school is to go out to nightclubs where they frequented. Knowing the promoter always helped, because you'd be let in even when you were underage. I knew a few of these promoters, so it was easy to get into clubs when we were 16 and 17, and players absolutely would hit on you and never enquire about your age.
