Brisbane winning last week and finally getting over their elimination final hoodoo helps us. The pressure is all on us tonight. We won't want to go out in straight sets and without Daniher the pressure is even greater on us to win and win well. Hopefully the boys woke up today and realised this is it. Time to pull the finger out because this season is done otherwise, and all the hard work has been for nothing.

I haven't been confident of a win in half a season if I'm being honest. We are not running out games or dominating anywhere near as much as we were last year. Brisbane's poor record at the MCG, in finals and against us is the only thing that makes me feel hopeful.

Why? The Queen lived a magnificent life. She achieved so much and died peacefully surrounded by family at age 96 in her favourite castle. I can't think of a single one of us who wouldn't be happy with that ending. Death is an inevitable part of life, just like losing is in football. If you have a really successful period in football and it comes to an end, you make peace with it. The Queen's life and death is no different.

I’m not sure why anyone is surprised or angry. Goodwin is a believer in sticking to a system and having a stable team. It worked last year. It probably won’t this year, but on paper this is still a very good team that can do some damage. Unfortunately I think injuries and lack of consistency will be our demise. If we go out in straight sets then this has been an unbelievably poor season considering we were 10-0.

I don't disagree with that assessment, but Smith has played like 3 games for Casey as a forward this year. I doubt he is the answer if we are lacking a second tall. If we desperately want a marking tall target up forward we will risk Tmac or punt on JVR. To me Smith is more of a medium forward, so would be a replacement for Fritta if he doesn't come up *heaven forbid*

Agreed. Watts didn't have what it takes to be a true professional. He had all the talent, but I think his heart was never 100% in it. Not too dissimilar to Hogan. Stretch lasted on our list 2 years longer than he should have because he had all the desire and was a total professional, but he didn't have the talent to make it. Sometimes talent and desire don't meet up and that is ok. Not everyone is Clayton Oliver.
