  1. What does Collingwood give Gold Coast to make this happen? Daicos?
  2. Cornes next week: “how did Melbourne allow their best players to leave for pick 7 in a weak draft? They’re a mess”
  3. No [censored]. Can’t have both plus keep their picks for their academy guys And Carlton’s price for Curnow would be even higher than ours is for Trac.
  4. Trac in front of 10,000 fans a week
  5. They can have all our rubbish picks to make up the points they need for their academy boys too I’ll also throw in a Steven May for nostalgia
  6. I mean I thought I made it pretty clear that I was being facetious with the whole unmarked bills and Penfolds deal 😂
  7. King literally told me today that the expectations is finals and to rise up quickly. And at every B&F and AGM and pre season interview since 2023 with players and coaches they’ve talked about playing finals. Either you haven’t been listening, or you’re just ignoring them. In fact the media all predicted we don’t make the 8 this year. And they were right.
  8. Theory: AFL wants to keep promoting the game up north and they need a big name marketable player who craves the limelight and has a profile to do just that. AFL tells Gold Coast to make the trade happen Melbourne says we don’t want to lose one of our marquee players without fair compensation and you’ve ruined the draft with your academy AFL says ok who you want? We say Humphrie AFL calls Humphrie’s manager and tells them Melbourne has a briefcase full of unmarked bills and a sponsorship deal with Penfolds for him that they’ll never look into Deal done
  9. If I was a betting woman, I reckon Clarry ends up at Sydney or he stays put. Sydney with Goody and away from the fishbowl of the media would work best for him. I know most fans don’t care what happens to players once they leave, but I care deeply that whatever move Clarry makes, supports his overall wellbeing. It’s more important than footy.
  10. Tim Lamb trying to lure star players and watching our club go to work today
  11. Wrinkle cream and vodka companies love to see a Melbourne off season coming.
  12. I guess losing half the list means we can do a Ross Lyon.
  13. I’ll raise you
  14. I said it in the other thread and I’ll reiterate it here Why the [censored] would Humphrey want to come play for us? We can’t even get Flanders to commit at this stage and his only other suitors are bloody St Kilda and Essendon. Essendon?!!
  15. No offense to my beloved club, but why the [censored] would Humphrey come to us? Let’s say in some dream world Gold Coast are willing to trade him for Trac because they’re high, why would Humphrey choose to play for us and not say the Pies, who play in front of 80,000+ each week, rarely travel and just made another prelim? Yes you definitely want to drive to Casey, play in Alice, enjoy Sunday night time slots and have mids kick over your head. It’s the dream!
  16. All great in theory, until we lose another 10,000 members who were told by the club for 3 years running that we should be playing finals. The vision and the execution are diametrically opposed. If the club wants to rebuild I’m all in, but don’t p!$$ on my back and tell me it’s raining when you lose 2 of your prime mids, a premiership defender and a promising small defender and bring in Max Heath and 6 picks in a poor draft. Look King might have aces up his sleeve. This could be his McRae moment. But unless he’s bringing in Naicos 2.0, I can’t see how we go forward without going backwards. Which again I’m fine with, but that’s not what we are being sold.
  17. Gold Coast
  18. Kosi Pickett to this manager
  19. Name one player with multiple suitors who is looking at our club and going… “hmmm think I’ll go there, looks interesting”
  20. Oh yeah so when Bailey Smith abuses a female photographer at an OPEN TRAINING SESSION, there is nothing to see here. But when Mitch Cleary that [censored] nuffy follows Clarry around harassing him in his time off, chasing him like a [censored], and is told to F off, then that is the problem. Because if you went to the airport and had someone chasing you with a microphone, who has spent all day writing poorly about you, you wouldn't do the same. 3 years of relentless harassment and abuse of Clarry, versus the kid glove handling of JUH, Smith and so on. Give me a break, and most importantly give him a break.
  21. We must have some good mids on the hook in the trade period to be pushing Clarry out and seeing Trac off. Or, again, Bailey Laurie's voodoo doll has been working overtime.
  22. King was on radio very early this morning. Could have told the media I am meeting with a few players today including Clarry and we will discuss their roles moving forward. Whatever you think of Clarry, or any other player for that matter, the way you handle their exists matter. This makes us look unprofessional, and in a small industry run by a small cohort of player manager, that is not a good thing. Optics. Optics. Optics I really hoped Guerra would come in and stop this type of rubbish where the reporters are running the club.
  23. He did that AFTER all the leaks came out. Clearly Cleary and him then had a chat. You think Clarry or his manager is saying to the media the club thinks he's a VFL level footballer?
