  1. They may well be But who would leak negative stories about themselves? Or what motive would they have to blow up the joint every few weeks?
  2. Please get that offensive head away for us. HAVEN'T WE BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH FOR ONE DAY?
  3. Considering I am the boss, that doesn't sound right. I am a real a-hole!
  4. I have an entire packaging report to get done today. MFC has got to arrange their timing with me when they are next planning to blow the joint up.
  5. And that makes the endless leaking and circus surrounding the club's position on him staying or going OK? Putting aside whether you think Clarry should stay or go, the optics of how this has once again all come out are poor.
  6. Bailey Laurie's voodoo doll working overtime this off season
  7. Did I say he was a victim? Does he deserve to be toyed with for 3 years in a row? He had an offer from Geelong last year, and he wanted to go, and the club said no. He never wanted to leave, we keep pushing him out, then dragging him back in. That is a poor way to handle someone, anyone, let alone a 4 time B&F winner.
  8. Clarry is a soft target, for the media, and for some at the club to lay blame on. If for the third year in a row we publicly try to throw him in the bin, then we better just do it already. To keep toying and embarrassing him like that is a pathetic way to handle a champion player. I hope the club knows what they are doing, because history suggest that they have NFI
  9. Also incorrect. And also highly highly unlikely that we will move Clarry's entire salary if he does move, especially if we go down the route of framing this as a fire sale. Unless you are happy to trade him for a fourth round pick.
  10. It's not That our salary cap is in trouble is a myth.
  11. One thing is certain, we can't keep spending every off season on the Trac and Clarry circus. Either move on them now, or shut it down once and for all. I expect to hear from Guerra or Tim Lamb today re: this Clarry noise.
  12. It was not my intention to blame Trac for this. I just know that his family has a very direct and open line of communication to Tom Morris, so it wasn't a baseless question. A question, not an accusation. I also agree re: airing this publicly, however this is not the first time we have used the media as a way to give Clarry a kick up the bum. We did it during the 2023 trade period, threatening to trade him if he doesn't shape up. I hated it then and I hate it now. Not sure it's even necessary when Clarry is all in anyway.
  13. Look you might be totally right, and this may well get shut down soon enough. The way to gauge interest however is not to make it sound like you are pushing someone out. You can say that Clarry wants a fresh start, and we won't trade him for less. Exactly as we have done with Trac. Unless of course we are happy to trade him for 3 cents in the dollar, which would only make sense if he was still a real issue within the club, which from everything I hear is not the case anymore. As for how would Trac's camp know, well his brother works for one of the biggest talent agencies in Australia, so not really a stretch that they find out is it? For what it's worth, I think this meeting is about King setting clear expectations for Clarry around behaviours/standards and perhaps the 'leak' is around making it clear to Clarry that if he isn't happy to comply, then he will need to explore his options. Which will be a non issue, as he wants to stay and prove himself desperately.
  14. I never said the info is not true, although there is nothing factual about what he is saying, other than there is a meeting between them. I am talking about the reason for the leak, and the way it's being framed. Clarry wants to stay, is devastated, etc says to everyone that this is us pushing Clarry out. Exactly the same way we are pushing May out, and willing to accept unders to make it happen. Versus "we won't trade Trac unless it's a great deal". Why would you ever advertise a fire sale?
  15. Very possible. However if his manager is framing this as 'Clarry doesn't want to leave', which is absolutely what it sounds like, then how is that helping Clarry find a new home? My client wants to stay, is likely going to not want to come to your club, but please take his $1.3 million salary and the reluctance comes free. It's a weird move.
  16. Obviously not Trac. I said his team. If we are now dealing with trading not one but two of our highest paid / best mids, it puts us in a 'fire sale' mode, which indicates to clubs that we are in a rebuild and will accept unders just to have a clean slate for King. It absolutely puts more pressure on the club to get the deals done. Which helps the player who wants out.
  17. Hmmm is this a distraction tactic by Team Trac to leak this stuff to Morris? Clarry is committed to the club, and he won't care about a role change. If we want to sell him for 3 cents in the dollar, then it's going to be a long season next year of getting smacked in clearances.
  18. This is what it must feel like to be Tim Lamb sometimes Given one oar, and a leaky boat, and told to get us superstars at every trade period like he’s a magician.
  19. I think he means that for Judd to choose to move back to WA and put his relationship in jeopardy is a pretty bold choice. Long distance relationships are not easy, especially when you are young, and one of you plays AFL
  20. He and Trac will get along great then 😬
  21. Cheers Bella… I mean Tom.
  22. Well who didn’t see this story arc coming… Trac the victim again If you can’t see how damaging he has been to our club for 18 months, then I don’t know what to tell you.
  23. I don’t think you want to know
