  1. The only snag this deal has hit, is Tim Lamb is currently caught up doing this with Gold Coast/Trac/Humphrey's management
  2. Interesting, he and Emma have a place in Melbourne I wonder what sort of part time we are talking about here Will he do matchday or just help out during main training days?
  3. Have you two become boyfriend and girlfriend yet?
  4. He's coming to play for Melbourne, not Casey ducks before Pickett Fence arrives
  5. I think we are both saying the same thing, but in different words We want Oliver out, not for money reasons, but of course the less we have to pay him to play for another club, the better HOWEVER, if we want to dump a whole heap of his salary because we have stuff planned in future that we need more cap space for, then perhaps we will be happy to take pick 800 from GWS and only pay a nominal amount of his remaining deal
  6. But has he unfollowed Collingwood yet? Because that's a requirement of his new contract at Melbourne
  7. It's very obviously @dazzledavey36
  8. Trac's desire to screw us, while it may be there (or not), is definitely not greater than his desire to get this deal done and get to Gold Coast To say that everyone knows he's 100% gone is simply not true King wants to keep him, and at no point have we ever relented on our position that unless we get a mind blowing deal, Trac will be at the club next year If he wants to risk playing FF next to Jeffo at Casey next year, then by all means, go tell the club of your choosing to try and screw us in a trade... what could possibly go wrong for you!
  9. Sorry I forgot not everyone has been posting here since Jesus was a carpenter CAC refers to Cameron, GWS' list manager, who used to be our list manager, and would post here occasionally when he worked for the Dees
  10. So Trac is trying to blow up his own trade by telling Gold Coast to play hardball on Humphrey, thinking we will cave like a deck of cards? Well if that's true, he's stupider than I even gave him credit for
  11. If Demon Forever knows what's happening, trust that so does Gold Coast, Melbourne and literally the rest of the list managers in the AFL If we wanted to keep this stuff hush hush, we wouldn't walk around the most walked around track in Melbourne with Humphrey, nor would Humphrey post that not so subtle 'get me home' post on his Instagram CAC used to come on here, and if he still does, I doubt he's reading the posts and going "WTF how do I not know this"
  12. I already answered the ANB point in a previous post Go read it
  13. Are you just making this up as 'gut feel', or did someone with actual intel tell you this?
  14. I agree that we can only make judgements on what we know, and unfortunately if you are only privy to what is said in the media, you have every right to judge us as a hot garbage dumpster mess of a club But media is not reality
  15. Based on the fact that we don't have salary cap issues So again, can we afford to pay him? Of course Do we want to pay him? No I don't think we do
  16. We worked out a deal with ANB 6 months before we traded him The compassionate reasons were very very real, and ANB said he will go to either SA club. We enquired both with Port and Adelaide, and unfortunately neither wanted to pay a lot for him. In fact Port said no thanks. He is an incredibly valuable player, I agree, but he gave us wonderful service, and he was desperate to get home. It was the right thing to do, not just by him, but by the entire playing list who all loved and supported Nibbler's decision to go home We were not happy to ship him off. We worked with him for almost a year to see if there were other options, and he was happy to explore them all before ultimately the decision was made that he would leave. And while he was working through his personal issues, he continued to give us top quality service on and off the field. Kosi had come to us with compassionate reasons before too, and we would not so much as entertain a trade because we were confident we can work it out We couldn't with Nibbler, and we got the best deal that we could given he was moving to 2 club state, with only 1 club showing any actual interest in him I think Adelaide got a lot more than they expected from him And as much as I love Nibbler, Trac is not on the same level being that he's a star player with 4 years remaining on a very good deal
  17. For years I've been telling everyone just that Social media/marketing/trading manager
  18. This myth again Please tell me who is the last contracted big name star player that Lamb has traded away for less than he's worth?
  19. No they're not They are getting a gun inside mid, to cover for Kelly who will miss the entirety of 2026 more or less They are in the window, they need to win now, and they are getting a quality player for 4 cents Is he a mess? sure. So is Bailey Smith. It's a risk they can afford and want to take Let's not pretend like we are dumping a 28 year old bit player who has done nothing note worthy in his career Clarry could absolutely go there and be a star again with a fresh start, and help them win their 1st flag
  20. It depends what else we are cooking up, be it this year or next We might decide that we want a St Kilda like war chest heading into 2026, with King having spent a year turning us from a dumpster fire to a moderately attractive rubbish tip, so we can go after the likes of Butters And if we think there is nothing worth getting excited about in the first round of the draft beyond the first 6-8 picks, then it might be a risk worth taking
  21. He did so because he was confident GC can get a deal done Which is precisely why they need to get this done The pressure is on GC not on us
  22. We are not moving on Clarry because we CAN'T afford to pay him, we are moving him on because WE DON'T want to pay him That is vastly different, and how much we don't want to pay him versus how much we want a good return, is what remains to be seen We will know once the deal goes through if paying less or getting more back was the focus for us / GWS
  23. Lucky for them they only have 27 members to answer to, and 25 of them are drunk on XXXX beer She'll be right
  24. I don't think the reports are correct, I think we'd rather take less for him but also pay less of his salary If we are paying $700k per year for him to play for the Giants, then I expect we get pick 12. If it's a pick in the 30s, I expect us to pay around $300k a year for him A pick in the 30s in this year's draft is equivalent to a 4th rounder in most other drafts
