I think he is a very good player, but he would struggle to get a game in our team, so why spend money on aging surplus? He basically plays the exact same role as Lever, except Lever is 6 years his junior and a far superior on field leader. There are far better options out there if we are looking to add players to our list at the end of the season.

He might be just as motivated by success than money you know.

If you told me 12 months ago I'll be cheering for Ben Brown I would have told you to get stuffed. One of my most disliked player from my most disliked team. But gees I really like him now in red and blue. Speak so well, amazing goal kicker, and how about that marvellous hair!

I mean all those games are trash except Dogs vs Melbourne. The other 3 will be complete wash overs. So naturally it'll be Collingwood v Geelong.

I reckon that means the week prior, our game against the Dogs will also probably be a Friday night match (we play Adelaide on Saturday afternoon the week prior in Adelaide).

Great decision. Firstly he’s the only player on the list to have won a game at that ground. Secondly he’s the only player on the list who I would want kicking for goal to save my life. Thirdly he’s too good to play for a VFL team. My kingdom for a forward no more!

What the hell do people want? I for one don’t want to hear from the president unless something really good (home base) or really bad (sacking) is going on. Quiet achievers at board level suit me just fine. Not everyone wants to be an Eddie or a Kennett. Some people just go about their business without being flogs.

It really doesn’t matter what you pay for a player, if they end up fulfilling the role you recruited them for. Lever is a genuine A grade defender and we have built an entire team around him and May. Sometimes you have to pay overs to get what you need, because it’s a hard find, and sometimes you get really lucky and pay unders like we did with Langdon. Swings and roundabouts.

I bet that Melbourne is working to extend the contracts of both Trac and Jackson as we speak. I know they are signed until the end of next year, but that will come around very quickly, and if we are to target someone like Merrett in the off season, we need to re-sign as many of our top players as we can so we can assess where our salary cap is at.

Good luck to him. I still think leaving Melbourne was the worst possible career and personal move he could have made. But it is his life, and I wish him all the best.

Of course it is better for us to play at Marvel. Firstly we play better there, secondly good preparation for our big game there against the Dogs. Less travel, no weather to contend with. It would be a big advantage to us.

Correct. Richmond had a golden run in all their premiership years. Nobody can really win a flag with injuries to their key players. I reckon the Dogs last flag, was probably the most impressive in terms of the injuries they had throughout that year. Winning a premiership is as much about luck as it is about talent.

Don’t mention good seats at the G this season. I’m glad we can attend, but the joke of not being able to use my $700 a year chair... Oh boy... I rage!

Trac may not be the most polished media performer, but at least he’s great at his day job. What the [censored] is Robbo’s excuse?

His goal kicking is woeful. In general our goal kicking is not the best. Definitely one big area where we can improve across the board.

It was definitely 11am Tuesday when I checked yesterday. Interesting.
