  1. It really is a load of crap. How Marvel and the MCG have the same capacity is beyond me. We could easily get 35,000 people at the G and have it be a far lesser risk than Marvel. MCG has multiple transportation avenues, so the load on public transport is far lower than at Marvel. Not to mention it is a true outdoor venue and 3 times larger. Insanity with no common sense as per usual.
  2. To be fair as far as I can tell, Moderna has not been tested in quite the same numbers. However they think because it is newer it might be more effective.
  3. That's what I thought. Friday night 1 (hopefully) vs 5 should be a good game. Our two games after this one are vs Hawthorn and GCS and I assume will be crap Sunday afternoon slots. Although we will likely play Gold Coast on Saturday as I assume the AFL will want our game versus the Dogs to be prime time Friday night again.
  4. They think Moderna is better against the new Delta strain. I think they will use Moderna as top ups next year.
  5. At least if we are stuck behind the goals we will be stuck there with our own kind and not filthy Essendon supporters. If you haven't got a ticket and you're a home and away member, go now quickly. I reckon there are still tickets available.
  6. Yep I got mine. Was in at 12:00:01. Got 2 tickets in M35. There seem to only be 2 bays allocated to Melbourne members which is M34 and M35. I'll take what I can get at this stage. Super happy we got tickets!
  7. In a prelim final to play an enforcer role and smack around anyone who tries to hurt our star players. Gets us into a grand final, gets suspended for 10 games, goes out a hero!
  8. I suppose that is true, but there is no need to give us a 5 day break, so why do it? Plenty of ordinary games next weekend to schedule on a Sunday. Plus with bigger capacity planned at the MCG next week, financially a Saturday afternoon would be a lot better for us than Sunday.
  9. Waiting patiently for 12pm.... I hope they left at least a few tickets for us home and away Melbourne members with reserved MCG seating. I only need 2 tickets this week, so fingers crossed I can get something.
  10. I’m going to assume we play the early Saturday slot vs GWS. Our game against Port the following week will be prime time either Friday or Saturday. So can’t play Sunday.
  11. Being known for going to the snow > Being known as drug cheats
  12. Yep Scott will complain that people are booing Selwood, that they have to play away from Geelong and that quarters are just too long to get the best out of a team of players eligible for the AZ.
  13. Yep restrictions ease midnight tonight. Should be allowed a crowd. Not sure of capacity. Probably 26.5% if you’re standing upside down with 3 masks on.
  14. God it’s a pleasure to watch Geelong lose. I hate them. Our [censored] percentage is going to haunt us. Time to start smashing some teams.
  15. A nice Covid outbreak in Geelong only prior to round 23 would be handy ?
  16. Ugh I can't support Geelong. And I really like the Lions. Would be great for Dogs to lose as well. Gives us some breathing room.
  17. To be fair we have only lost to bad teams this year. This is a danger game! (Hello to anyone from Bomberblitz reading this, I hate your club!)
  18. Well it would be nice to know when we play next weekend, given we can actually attend. Really annoying they won't even give us 2 weeks notice, when you are trying to plan other things around the game.
  19. I wish. I'm too young. No Pfizer for me.
  20. I haven't received an email and I am a home & away member?
  21. I have a feeling they drop Weideman and we play with Tmac and Fritsch as the main forwards. BB will be made to prove his fitness at Casey I suspect.
  22. Surely now we know the capacity they can at least release next week's fixture? You would assume the SCG game will not go ahead at the SCG. But other than that, it's straight forward. GWS is already hubbing in Melbourne, they can stay an extra week for our game. Problem solved.
  23. The issue isn't the 'roadmap', the issue is that we are going from 25,000 to 85,000 in a week. Who is the genius that decided this weekend 25,000 is safe, but next weekend 85,000 will be fine. It just doesn't make sense. They should have said 50% capacity for the next 2 weeks and then we assess. 25,000 is not enough for most games, and 85,000 is basically too much for 99% of games. Again these 'health experts' make decisions based on nothing.
  24. 10am FRIDAY?! Why so late? Why can't tickets go on sale tomorrow for gods sake? Will there even be any tickets left by the time MCC and AFL reserve get theirs?
  25. So this week its 50% at venues but up to 25,000 only. Next week we return to 85% capacity. FOR GOODNESS SAKE WHAT SENSE DOES THIS MAKE? What makes it safer next week?
