  1. Simple solution; bring your own charcuterie board.
  2. Gil can bang on about his sexy screens all he likes. This video is sexy!
  3. Bont and Treloar were the standouts. Both played very very well and should be proud of their efforts. Bont wins the Norm Smith easily if the Dogs won the game. He was outstanding up until the last 10 minutes of the third quarter.
  4. Fair bloody call. Imagine he misses round 1 because some AFL [censored] gave him Covid.
  5. Just watched the latest training video with ANB on the mic. It’s obvious the blue team is the firsts and the red is the seconds. So from what I saw, Harmes was in red. JJ, Sparrow and Hunt all in blue. Both May and Salem featured prominently (in blue of course), so good sign they’re ready to go. Did not see Hibbo in the video.
  6. I also think Fritta is very underrated here. To keep your composure and kick 2 incredibly crucial goals in the third was critical. If he misses that set shot after the Harmes kick I reckon we are done.
  7. I think that over the course of his career Buddy would easily be a top 5 player. He was a freak. He still is, he is just on his last legs. The issue is we need to start separating these lists into "top 50 of the last decade" vs "top 50 of the last year". Because those lists do change with time, but some 'experts' don't want to move on.
  8. She is magnificent to listen to. I know I’m bias but it is a goddamn pleasure to have a woman lead my footy club!
  9. 100% this is better. Viney saying to Goody ā€œI’m so glad you came to this club. I love youā€. Oh man that was emotional. And Kate saying to Goody ā€œI thoughtā€ā€¦ I love her. She’s great!
  10. Brilliant and unsurprising to see him continue to shine off the field. As much as those colours disgust me, I am thrilled for him and can’t wait to see what he does in the future.
  11. They can alternate it yearly.
  12. Will miss at least the first two rounds. Petty I’m not too sure about. He was 4-6 but that was a little while ago.
  13. I suggest this umpire needs to grow a thicker skin. Players are allowed to question or laugh at a poor decision as a way to show frustration. It was a ridiculous free. If the umpire feels belittled by that, it says more about the umpire than the player.
  14. 1000% winning a flag is way better than birthing some life sucking monster.
  15. You joke like I didn’t mention that he has to barrack for Melbourne in my vows… My best friends also made a speech in which she said this will only be the happiest day of my life until Melbourne wins a flag. She is correct. A prophet is she.
  16. Number of losses before someone on Demonland starts a ā€œsack Goodwin we are no goodā€ thread: 2
  17. If we never win another flag in my lifetime, my biggest regret on my deathbed will be that I couldn’t be there to experience that joy in person. I hope like hell we get to see it again live.
  18. Hahaha again my husband with his commentary throughout… ā€œGees Jack Viney really aged this pre seasonā€
  19. I was hoping they’ll have more inside footage of like the addresses at half time or Gawn out on the field in the huddle at 3/4 time. It was a bit same same. Lucky I love watching us win flags. An easy watch. Would watch us win again. 10/10.
  20. It’s been pretty depressing so far. The good part is coming. I hear we win a flag in this one.
  21. So I’m watching this with my husband who is a recent arrival to the Melbourne supporting club thanks largely to me refusing to marry him if he didn’t get serious about AFL and Melbourne… when that Geelong loss was shown and then that stat was mentioned, he turns to me and goes ā€œhow is it possible to be this bad?ā€ He has no idea. Bloody bandwagoner!
  22. Skipped quickly through the Neeld years. Thank god! šŸ˜‚
  23. Or Robbie. At least Neale got to see it!
  24. That’s me but with Essendon’s final winning drought. It’s just so funny. Long may it continue.
  25. If we get more than 70,000 that would be amazing. Having said that every Melbourne supporter I know, both die hard and half arsed are booked in and ready to go for next Wednesday. (Times like these is why I love my reserved seats membership) People are very keen to see the flag unfurling and to enjoy footy in person again. It’s been a very very long time. On both counts.
