NON-MFC: Round 3, 2022
No hate from me. He’s a good ordinary ruckman. WA is welcome to him so long as they leave Jackson the unicorn alone.

NON-MFC: Round 3, 2022
I loath Greene but at least he’s a genuine gun Floppy mcfloppy is a bloody average player.

TEAMS: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Everyone has obviously pulled up ok. Hope Rivers is not hobbling in.

NON-MFC: Round 3, 2022
Sydney Melbourne Irrelevant but would love Port to be 0-3 Gold Coast because I hate GWS and also see above re: Port Geelong *vomit* Brisbane by 25+ goals Carlton *vomit* Who cares? Who cares x 2?

Charlie Spargo Contract talks
Getting the contracts for the 'lesser lights' (and I mean that with absolutely not disrespect to Spargs!) out of the way early is a good thing given we have two MASSIVE deals to get done this year in Jackson and Oliver.
-
Farewell Luke Jackson
It also would not have helped that he walked into a club that was a complete disaster on and off the field. Jackson would be hard pressed to find a club more stable or in a better on field position that ours right now.
-
CHANGES: Rd 03 vs Essendon
All I keep hearing is how bad Oliver's shoulders are and how bad Trac's knee is. Imagine if these two ever get fit.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Melbourne recruiting > Geelong recruiting
-
Max Gawn - Slow start
I really wish the club would go to the AFL and complain about the treatment he cops from opposition players that never goes punished.

Jake Bowey Rising Star #2
This is what I meant. It was hard to word.
-
Jake Bowey Rising Star #2
I think I read somewhere that IF we win this week, Bowey will have the best winning streak from debut ever recorded in the AFL at 10.

Farewell Luke Jackson
And Sydney have a plethora of excellent talls. They also have real cap pressures without the COLA.
-
Farewell Luke Jackson
So as we can see, it’s been a long long time since we lost someone we desperately wanted to keep. Say what you like about the club but list management and recruiting has been on point for a long time. Well before the on field success came the good player management off it.

2022 Injury List
But also why would you risk Lever or Hibbo in a round 3 game against a side that don’t have much of a forwardline either.
-
Farewell Luke Jackson
Who was the last player we really wanted to keep but they left anyway?
-
Who to cull?
It’s round 2 and we are 2-0. Calm your farm.

What they are saying at Bomberland
Eventually we have to lose. We are on another winning streak and we’ve seen how hard that is to maintain. We aren’t in great form. To me we are just going and doing the bare minimum to win games. That’s a perfect position to be in this early in the season, but it also makes us much more vulnerable to dropping “easier” games. You can’t be up all the time. Maintaining a level of intensity that requires winning every week is impossible. Clubs will come out hoping to catch us on a down week so they can take a big scalp. This could be the week.

Farewell Luke Jackson
You are correct. I shouldn’t listen to Petracca who said he was 21.
-
Jake Bowey Rising Star #2
If he ever gets injured we are stuffed. No Bowey no Melbourne.
-
CHANGES: Rd 03 vs Essendon
From the 2 seconds of vision at training they showed on 7, Trac had a full leg bandage and was grabbing at his knee. Let’s hope he’s ok. I would hate to risk him in round 3 and have him end up like Salem.
-
Jake Bowey Rising Star #2
Imagine the nerve of winning back to back flags and back to back rising stars… I’ll take my jinx and see myself out now
-
Jake Bowey Rising Star #2
Well FMD Bowey got it this week! They went output over hype. Well done little ginger. You can hang up this useless nomination next to your shiny premiership medal.

COACHES VOTES: Rd 02, 2022
I think both Miller and Bowey were very very good for their respective sides. I am frankly surprised if one coach gave Oliver 2 and Miller only 1. Miller was definitely more influential than Oliver.
-
CHANGES: Rd 03 vs Essendon
A bit of both. I think it depends on Rivers and Hibbo’s injury status.
