  1. Well if nothing else this is the longest amount of time Maynard has ever had to spend using his 2 brain cells. He will now be missing the game due to brain overload.
  2. Serious question, can they get an injunction until after finals? Has that been done before and will a court of law in Australia intervene in this manner? I would like a real lawyer to answer this Rollo… @Redleg?
  3. That’s not the medical report they sent in. It’s the medical report that they released to fans. They are required to send in a proper medical report. One they would never release publicly.
  4. If you believe in karma like I do, then the Collingwood football club will get theirs. If not from us, then from someone else. What goes around comes around.
  5. I wonder if the AFL will appeal the decision if he’s let off
  6. It goes how the AFL wants it to go. Maybe it’s a weak case because they know he will appeal and get off. Perhaps they don’t want to deal with the fall out of suspending a Pies player ahead of finals. In the end the AFL always gets what it wants. Until it gets dragged into a real court and the AFL loses billions of dollars.
  7. We all know they’re leaving loopholes on the table so he can get off on appeal. This is the worst episode of Judge Judy ever!
  8. Except that has NEVER been the case. Duty of care has been a key argument in a lot of football acts including tackling, and spoiling.
  9. I raise you Smith, Salem, Spargo and Bowey
  10. If he plays again it’s a big risk. A final or grand final, it doesn’t matter. He won’t be immune from sustaining another concussion, and the next one might be the one that causes permanent damage. Is that a risk you’d want your child to take? Even for premiership glory? Concussion doesn’t discriminate because you’re playing in a grand final. His risk of getting a head high hit in the next month are the same as getting a hit in 2024 or 2026. This is his first concussion in 6 years. His next one may never come, or it might happen 6 minutes into a prelim final.
  11. Well if I ever saw a Melbourne fan post online that they wish an opposition player or their mum gets a traumatic brain injury, or hear a Melbourne supporter cheer a concussed player on the ground, or sprout vile racist comments, I would report them to the club and hope they are never allowed to buy a membership or attend a game ever again.
  12. I also don't think Gus will play again this year. I will be frankly shocked if his family isn't working hard to convince him to hang up the boots, regardless of what his scans will show. An impossible choice for a guy in the prime of his career, playing in a successful team, with 4 years left on a lucrative contract. Whatever decision Gus makes, it will be far bigger than winning or losing a game, or a final, or even a premiership. I have no doubt the club and our fans will support his decision and back him in 100%. Football is a season of life, but it's not your whole life.
  13. Very few Melbourne supporters thought what Kosi did in round 2 was ok. I also haven’t seen a single person on this site suggest Roo should get off after he elbowed McStay in the head. Of course every supporter base is biased, but Melbourne fans don’t go around calling injured players weak, or wishing them or their family traumatic brain injuries. Ffs.
  14. Back in the days when they both could move
  15. Listen it took them about 10 years just to run the spell check And the server in the federal prison from which they run this site is not great
  16. BB and Tmac in the same forwardline. Jesus wept. I love them both, but neither of them can move. Carlton will run all their half back attack through those two. It's one or the other.
  17. Why oh why do we refuse to give Kosi more time on ball?
  18. Hope he didn't eat the dodgy curry I sent Mason Cox
  19. Not to mention that Gus going off meant Trac couldn't spend as much time up forward, which robbed us inside 50. We ultimately lost because we can't convert +32 inside 50s into a score big enough to beat 9 bloody goals by the opposition. But given how poor we were in that first quarter, especially after Gus went down, and how close the game was, there is no doubt the loss of Gus early had an enormous influence on the game.
  20. 95% of people and 100% of Collingwood supporters
  21. Will do. I forgot about that button. Probably because we don't get many people posting report worthy [censored] on here... ...although Rollo is definitely cutting it close with his death threats
  22. @Demonland please end this account
  23. Mason Cox needs to take a long walk off a short pier. He has the goggles all ready to go, he can swim back to the USA.
  24. I hope they boo him and I hope he kicks a goal, turns around and gives them the finger. And that Hibbo in his last game goes out with a bang smashing a few ribs and legs.
  25. Amazing to see him up and about! It truly is sad how little I care about this season now. I just want Gus to be ok.
