  1. Like Lever last year I'd been quietly confident Gaff was most likely coming to us but my feelings changed with the king hit, it was out of character but also shocking vision and I thought wow what effect is that going to have on his psyche and confidence? Although I'd still love to have his football ability, you just can't take the fact back he did serious structural damage to a young player who happens to be the brother of one of our brightest stars. It was a clear yes for me before the incident and a cloudy yes after. With the way our Club is being built I don't think we'd be willing to pay Andrews pre incident price. Did anyone else notice how despondent he looked sitting in the coaches box v Coll then Simpson appeared and gave him a punch in the shoulder to gee him up a bit, he smiled in response but to me looked like he absolutely did not want to be there.
  2. And I vividly remember him dominating the Eagles in that memorable win last year! With 2 finals games under his belt now what can we expect next week ?
  3. Jeez that was awesome, 2nd week of delirium spent with mine and another Demon loving family in their WA Games room and now thanks to that impressive performance an opportunity to transfer our noise and hopefully be well heard between the boooooooooos here at Optus. We are pumped!
  4. Wasn't sure how this game would go so extraordinarily well played Dees, ecstactically happy with this!
  5. Fugazi... this is a cut throat comp let's treat commentary like this as such!
  6. Wow, not unexpected but still heartbreaking news. Rest in peace Jarrod Lyle, and heartfelt sympathy to all those closest to him.
  7. As with any squad member I've been looking forward to see him debut, disappointed that isn't going to happen but happy for him going forward. I have moved on from unhappy or just not right employment a few times in my life and the feeling has been euphoric and long lasting. Hopefully this is where Harley is at. Good luck.
  8. So Vanders comes in before Weid 10 v 9, the rest of the team unchanged as no-one has less than 5 except Gawn but good for him, alphabetically he holds his spot.
  9. Adelaide at their best, at home, and with our outs would be enough for them to get over the line but are they at their best or close to that form? They struggle with pressure and I'm convinced especially after last week we'll bring it. Our form against Geelong impressed me so much and with no changes to the lineup we'll build on last week. With that the Crows will need to play really well to beat our pressure, I don't think they can, I see us being too determined and ultimately too good.
  10. Congratulations Lewy unbelievable achievement and terrific that it's come whilst playing in red and blue, which I have to say looks really blood y good on you! Along with Crossy and Vince a no-brainer addition for us and at a critical time in our development. It must have taken an incredible amount of dedication, work ethic and guts to have carved out such an amazing career and I suspect it isn't over yet. Good luck today JL#6....C'mon Melbourne.
  11. I didn't see any drop off in intensity or effort throughout the entire match.
  12. Home from watching at a friends place and haven't read any of this thread so have no idea what the reactions are but for me I am really proud of that effort, I could bring up plays and moves which might have been the difference but that's not the point of this post. The commitment was outstanding it was exactly what I hope my team can deliver every week. Disappointed obviously, but not anywhere near as feral as I have been in the past.
  13. I know Chook fortunately we have 3 more games to practice it.
  14. I agree re the smaller grounds and that will help us, I think we'll play it well but I think the weakening of our back line will result in them kicking a few more goals than us.
  15. That's true but in that 1st qtr we burst out of the blocks and then midway through the first the Cats worked their way back into it and then carried the momentum into that 2nd qtr debacle. They are proven to be a much more efficient team down there and this is equally as critical a game for them as it is for us, they are going to be formidable make no mistake. I will be the happiest man alive if we get over them but in the meantime I have the bit in a vice like grip between my teeth.
  16. We lost narrowly Rd 1 and that was at the MCG, Cats dominated the first half we dominated the second, at KP they won't give us that opportunity. A bridge too far I'm afraid.
  17. It'd be so easy to give up on this code, the problem is, my team's about to explode!
  18. especially intriguing when in his interviews he presents as being unsure how about how good he is
  19. What sticks with me is someone posted on here, I think it was last year at Lunar Park? he'd had a chat with Hoges, and he'd said that in 4 years time we'd be unstoppable, that was buy in to me at the time and despite the current MFCSS I'm hanging on to that.
  20. you've got me stumped there Ted what's an Industrial area?
  21. Geez Hoges would've been basking in one stunning day if he was here for it. I dare say even Ethan would begrudgingly acknowledge it.
  22. Welcome Clayton looking forward to explosions in the middle.
