For those who underrate our 2021 premiership…
Thanks. Still about 25,000 short of the MCG capacity. Is it suitable for footy there?

For those who underrate our 2021 premiership…
Not sure it is as simple as that. The MCG has the biggest crowd capacity in the country (there were 100,013 at the GF apparently). None of the other regular footy stadiums hold more than 55,000 IIRC. So unless some other city builds a stadium with an oval arena with a capacity for 90,000+ fans, there will never be an economic case for holding it anywhere else. Even in an era when the TV rights run the game, not even the AFL are silly enough to pass up the income from 45,000 extra GF tickets (ie massive $$s) ...

Training Ground?
I think you mean monochrome --- otherwise that phrase is close to ban-worthy :-)

Jack Viney Extends Contract Until 2028
Have there been any mad enough to do both? At once? Could get quite messy by the sound of it 😆🤣

Max Gawn Re-Signs Until 2027
Perhaps it is to stop some pretentious [censored] from another club offering him a deal as a part-time ruck coach (such as Clarko trying pinch Viney)? Gawny will probably be in demand as a coach and leader, but this effectively shuts the door on a twilight stint elsewhere as a player.

Premiership Hero Ben Brown Retires
Congratulations on your career BBB. You certainly didn't leave anything out there, but Old Father Time is a persistent bastard who always wins in the end. Not everyone gets a fairytale ending. To celebrate, instead of the usual 3/4 time "Race against a Demon", we should have the spectator start at the usual position (left-hand back flank facing the City End) against BBB with a footy, starting his run-up at the same spot. The spectator runs around the boundary, as usual, while BBB does his run-up to take a shot from the fifty at the City End. If the spectator beats the ball across the goal line, they win. For extra points, BBB has to bounce every 15m -- I reckon his standard run-up requires two anyway.😅 One last sideshow for SideShow Bob! 😀🤣

NON-MFC: Round 19
I like your analysis, and I count myself as a supreme optimist. But on this one, there is no discussion --- Hawks by as much as possible (and I thought I would never type those words!). Anyone but Collingwood!

How about the media hype about Draper's game? The media make it sound like he single-handedly carried the Bombers, whereas from my perspective, his ruck dominance made no difference at all. The main reason they were ahead in the first quarter was their ability to get over the back of our defence, not Draper's influence. But I will of course understand if you are more worked up about the umpires' performance, particularly in the last few minutes.
