  1. Watching the Hawks this afternoon we would definitely want Frost to keep his place in the side No changes there thanks
  2. If the Match Committee is minded to have players available to slot in to cover absences later in the year might they go Tom McDonald for Weideman (not because he’s lacking form - he is improving every week) Is Melksham gone the way of Nathan Jones and we won’t be seeing him again? Smith would appear to be a work in progress (as has SW been) We are so fortunate to have a choice of riches
  3. I apologise for misunderstanding  what you meant with a comment in gameday Loges  - not my finest work and probably like our kicking last night - best forgotten.Regards

  4. We run run run and it makes a great difference unfortunately we won’t go any higher on the ladder
  5. Can’t agree We have to respect the opponents - we are sharper in the cleanup imho
  6. I used to hate it when the Barwon cheats did those annoying 10 metre kicks that gave them possession and control. I can now see a beauty in the method that I’m surprised to have not appreciated before
  7. We must have a good team when Melksham is playing for Casey
  8. We have three grandchildren playing at the half time game tonight (from two families). they don’t find out until they get to the ground which team they’re playing for. they’re under strict instructions if it’s the Tiges they are to throw the game
  9. Next it’s going to be coach’s dissent Can you imagine how many free kicks Chris Scott will give away every time he rolls his eyes
  10. I remember when Jeff White was the unchallenged no.1 ruckman and there wasn’t room for/services thereof were surplus to our requirements in respect of Stefan Martin, who as it turns out had quite a bit of useful footy left in him - even though we decided to trade him out. So at the risk of sounding ignorant, can it be suggested that Weideman should keep his place for these two reasons: he will be a required player of the future and secondly that he is showing development and increasing confidence as he plays more games? Supplementary to the above is the not-all-eggs-in-one-basket benefit of possibly having interchangeable forwards and something about more arrows in the quiver Apologies to T Mac
  11. What a MAGNIFICENT loss by Geelong !!! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
  12. I’m not sure how to process the crowd numbers we have heaps of footy club members and four of our family went tonight (yesterday) - plenty of our family are off on a post-Covid (I don’t really mean that) holiday so probably some who would normally be there are using Easter as a getaway pass the procedure for getting tickets is a bit painful I’s gots to say
  13. Put them to the sword admittedly a short one but with a half twist
  14. and it’s such a comfort to know that the umpires will adjudicate with impartiality and consistency
  15. Oh what a (different) feeling heading in to the game and knowing win lose or draw they will play with skill and determination 🤞🏿
  16. I am (we are) still adjusting to the realisation that our team will most if not all weeks play as hard and turn on as much as needs to be done to win the game - if not grind the opposition into questioning their choice of game plan/coach. Supporters who think we will perform at scintillating level every single game of the year are living in LaLa Land - it’s so amazing to see the past years’ recruiting yielding an ongoing dividend and to see the team continuing to play the attacking confident footy that was successful last year. The young ones from Casey who played in the Premiership last year - so wonderful to see them moving forward. No doubt we will not win every game - but the drive and the trust shows I just recall the days when our players had underdeveloped bodies and we were tossed around by the likes of the Weagles The wheel turns …….
  17. I do hope Essendon play better I hate seeing them embarrassed and humiliated
  18. I recall seeing him playing as if demented in our loss to the Filth about two years ago on the Queen’s Birthday clash - he played with not only aggression but an astonishing amount of spite with which our players seemed unable to cope and on the day were not equal to. Jeremy is a loss, looking back, that we can not only cope with but perhaps view with a degree of satisfaction. C’est la vie and arrivederci 🙋🏽‍♂️
  19. The whole land of Mordor is a dark territory and at its heart is the evil genius that is controlling everything. Thus there is one reason why the descriptor doe not apply to Geelong
  20. Sincerely thanks for this And I will watch it tomorrow but tonight I need to watch the replay again because I have this unrelenting nagging feeling that there is a handball somewhere that I have not committed to memory
  21. I have confessed previously to consenting to an accord with one of my sons-in-law that the progeny of the mixed marriage would be brought up to barrack for whomsoever might be in the higher position on the ladder at the time and time goes by so slowly…… but my second most favourite Russian proverb comes to mind for some reason that I can’t explain: If you live long enough you will see the body of your enemy floating down the river
  22. You mean like the miracle of the loaves and fishes?
