Harsh No doubt with Jesse not being the required target the team balance has changed and we’ve become more threatening probably because we’re less predictable. Jesse had been going up the ground more to become a more versatile player prior to his injury and when you consider his better application to chasing and tackling this year, the signs are there that he will be a real contributor next year. Long Live Jesse !

Post Match Discussion - Elimination Final
Having been in Geelong these past two days I’ve had the benefit of exposure to the Geelong Advertiser and its reporting of community affairs. The one particular story (among many worthy entrants) that caught my eye was about the local lad who required the paper to publish a formal correction after he was caught unlicensed and doing wheelies with an unfortunate rabbit tied to his rear bumper. Anyways, the Advertiser reported (incorrectly) that he had been arrested on the spot and charged and he required a retraction - namely that he had merely been charged and not arrested (facts not in dispute) Advertiser’s mistake publicly acknowledged. Anyways, I recommend this journal as an indicator of where the current state of society sits - it never ever disappoints. But back to the matter in hand - with its back page lead of how Gazza was gunna show them and with so many fulsome articles on how Melbourne would be overawed what with their almost total lack of finals experience and with the astonishing talent of Dangerfield, Tommy Boy, Selwood etc it would appear that the possibility of Melbourne winning the game was almost unthinkable. What a thrill to see that pressure and energy from a great group playing for each other and the team - beats the individualists and having watched Nathan Jones through the dark years as our only quality player at times, it’s been a joy to see his faithful service to our club return a dividend in his second final appearance. Thanks so much Nate

Is that the one where he ran past a first game Melbourne player who never played again? If so pot kettle black

From the looks of this photo, the mouth guard has done its job and the lower jaw which is not covered by the mouth guard has been broken. Teeth involved in the fracture line (apparently) have been removed. It’s a shocking injury and I think that’s why some people (but not others) become slightly emotional

Sorry to say this is not your finest work. (a) At what point will bone be added to replace post extraction/traumatic bone loss so that implanted teeth can be placed? (I’m guessing Dec 2018) (b) Could there be spiral root cracks that might take years to manifest? See (a) (c) What on earth would happen if a similar blow - accidental or not - was delivered in the future to this sophisticated repair work?

Discount of 50% for being an interstate team with a large membership 4 weeks Totally agree with your initial assessment but. This kind of action needs to be eliminated from the game

Run home to Finals - 2018
Just remember Geelong starts with a five goal umpire advantage which consists of two dubious frees in front for the Cats and three not awarded to us. It’s a rabid atmosphere there

I Like Edward McGuire for his fierce dedication to the ideals of journalistic ethics and his single-minded determination to see the truth come out into the naked light of day : no matter what the cost even should it be to the detriment of the football club he represents so constantly.

General strike in Rome - re austerity measures by the Bersculoni govt. Could be a paradigm for if we fail to win a premiership soon - will report further All fruit is seriously expensive in Paris and generally unavailable in the UK where dairy and deep fried are the staple foods. Rome has a better balance of food readily accessible. Little discussion here about what we're not talking about though I sense deep interest just under the surface. Still found no reason to emigrate - though our daughter has for marital reasons to Swansea in Wales Lois Vuitton knock-offs cost €20 ($28) : good enough to fool me ( though to be truthful all the would need is two handles joined by a bag) Will keep observing .......

TRAITOR Well I've left Paris for the first time ever and I've got to say the key to traveling there is to learn to use the underground. Best thing my wife and I did was to leave the Novatel Tour Eiffel ( HORRIBLE - I will write a book) and move to the Novatel Mont-Parnasse (classy and good value for money) Rome is a lot different - I really miss the stuck-up attitude which you do accept as convincing if it's maintained for long enough (cf MM)
