  1. This is the most difficult thing as a supporter this year. I remember last year we had quite a few honourable losses. I don't mind losing (as much) when we have a crack and fall a bit short (like StKilda this year). However, this year when we lose, it's a shocker. When we win, it's normally comprehensively. Melbourne has bipolar disorder this year. And it's becoming difficult to deal with the constant swinging from being up to being down.
  2. I'll grab a membership too, as it is a great site. I will also click all the ads to!
  3. I wonder how successful the AFL will be when all the supporters give up due to the inequality of the system? The competition will be pretty boring with only a few rich clubs taking part in it.
  4. Laughable to think they would pay that much money for that length of contract for someone who missed a good portion of this season with a knee injury that has caused him trouble in the past. The more attention on Scully there is, the less likely he is to go. It wreaks of smoke and mirrors.
  5. Good luck on your debut Sam.
  6. Finally, some confirmation. Now I can stop reading this stupid thread.

  8. RIP Sean.
  9. This is the most frustrating aspect. I have no doubt this current list is destined for great things, but there is no denying that losing Scully will influence just how great the team can become.
  10. No excuses this week. We are in better form and should account for the Dogs. Dees by 35 points, Watts to kick 5.
  11. This is my feeling too. If he goes, it really will be because the money was once in a lifetime. You cannot blame him, he is (may be) put in a very difficult situation soon. I still have my doubts that Scully is the #1 player they are after. He is only in his second season and he missed 8 or so games with a bad knee already.

This can work well if we make sure some of our forwards remain in the actual forward 50, rather then pressing up too much. Also helps to have a tall option down there like Watts or Jamer or Martin.
  13. I wonder what Wolfmother's hunch is about Scully next year? Care to indulge WM?
  14. Easily my favourite moment from the game!
  15. It is all good mate, didn't even see it that way. It is going to be a long wait until the end of the season, but can't wait for this issue to be resolved either way!
  16. I don't agree with it by the way, just sharing information. Most journalist have backflipped on this issue numerous times indicating that they have no idea.
  17. Recent Tweet from Mark Stevens "Scully gawn I reckon. People who should know today said convinced. Shame" http://twitter.com/#!/stevoheraldsun

Brent has a lot of charisma too, this interview with Gawn is great.
  19. We really do have an exciting list don't we? Good times ahead. In all the commotion surrounding Scully, it's important not to forget the other great young players we have such as McKenzie, Gysberts, Watts, Trenners, Howe, Nicholson, Strauss and so on.
  20. I've had my concerns over this journey, but I am with Tom and believe he will stay. Also, for those who go by body language, his body language was really good against the Tigers. He is a part of this team, and he will stay.
  21. Great post WM.
  22. So sick of the comparisons. Both great players with a great future ahead of them. Watts plays for Melbourne, Natanui for West Coast. Get over it.
  23. Edit: Massive facepalm, it was on the previous page.....Please feel free to delete this and my other post Mods.
  24. What the hell just happened to Wolfmothers post above?
  25. This is congruent with the rumour he signed a HoA but is having second thoughts. Surely if the boy changes he mind and wants to stay, then he will stay. And while it will suck if we do lose Tom, I don't want the MFC to overpay him just to keep him here at the expense of our other young stars like Watts, Trengove, McKenzie, Gysberts and so forth. We have a fantastic young list and the team is more important then one individual
