It was discussing a very important social issue, the surge in domestic violence toward women. Agree with Kev on the poor form censoring this sidetrack when so many others are deemed acceptable. I think the challenge with these incidents is that they probably are not happening in isolation… as in Pendlebury had probably been jabbed in a contest, pinched and scragged in pre-contest situation, had his feet stood on, etc… to the point he felt compelled to respond. should he then be suspended when all the prior incidents were missed… I’ve no idea re the Clarry incident, only that it’s not alway so clear.

With Bowser, MacAdam and Melky to be back into contention for AFL inclusion over coming weeks (months), the pressure for spots will grow and improve us.

No change. McAdam seems to have played in 10 min bursts in the VFL, and none in the last, he’s still a couple of weeks off full AFL.

I think the theme at the moment and perhaps for the entire H & A season is developing and improving our rebound and forward half connection… tonight we had lots of “learnings” which will hopefully serve us well, and we doubled their score. I loved the gather round, and would welcome 2 more per-season, if they decide to go that way. I spent the Gather round with 10 old Mates at a beach house on the coast, hanging out, drinking, laughing, surfing and watching footy… was lots of fun.

Its a shame that McAdam is underdone, as would have liked him in for Chandler (assuming he doesn't get up). May for Hore, if minimal risk of exacerbating the rib injury... Reckon minimal change with Chandler getting up and May in for Hore. Plus, while we need to respect the Crows, it feels there may be a bit of blood in the water around the Crows, and we should be aiming to hit them hard from the first and try to belt them for the full four quarters. JVR to fill his bucket. Go Dees.

We seem to be getting drawn to the contest and they’re opening us up on the outside. Curious to see what Goody does, he generally makes good adjustments at halftime… JV has been awesome.

Nibbler has been fantastic, his work to get ball to Viney, and then in defence was monumental.

Like this a lot. Stretch the Hawks with attacking talls, was alway unlikely we’d need TMac and Hore as tall backs. Plus keeps Windsor’s speed on the park.

If Clarry is ready to play he is an automatic inclusion even if he’s only playing for 60% game time. Hes such a natural player, it feels when he’s playing he’s in his element. Which a part of why he’s so good, and such a pleasure to watch. From a football conditioning perspective, not seeing the VFL game mean it’s hard to gauge how fit he is…

It may be the stubborn optimist in me, but I reckon The Cherub, Clarry, is primed for a year where he finds yet another level or aspect to his play that has him rated as our best ever…
