  1. The point is the same regardless
  2. Whaaat? 7 years x 900 for Elliot? He's 27! Cray cray
  3. Correct. If it's a senior gig, they can break the contract. Otherwise a good assistant in contract will be retained. Eg, Dew at Swans
  4. Many empty seats on the coaches table?
  5. I think this is a good move from Nate. Allows him to focus on pure footy for his remaining games at the highest level. Releases him from the added responsibility. Look forward to seeing his 2020 season. He's been a selfless servant of the club. One of our major problems for years has been a lack of on-field leaders. A leader is made up of many traits: one is the "follow me, do as I do" leader. Viney could offer this if he has a full pre season and performs at his best. Max is another capable of this. But we've severely lacked the "on-field director" leadership role, especially as we have a young list. Lewis provided some of this, but not enough. Don't remember who it was, but someone here posted a clip of a miked-up Jones pre and during game and another of Luke Hodge doing the same. The difference in quality leadership, direction and clear buy-in was enormous, embarrassingly so. Hodge is both the "follow me" and the "teacher". Who can fill this void? Has Max the command to direct the players? Are Lever and/or May the answer? Tmac? I'm not confident we currently have someone who is capable of grabbing teammates (and the game) by the scruff of their necks and instructing/directing them towards victory in a tight game.
  6. By the time he's old enough, GCS will be the Tassie Devils. In that case he'd be sure to pick Melbourne
  7. Not sure it's valid to assess a 19 yo first year player in a team that is notorious for slow development of players. You may be right, but a 69kg late pick in the draft will generally struggle during year one. I haven't kept track of his Casey year. Has he had any games there that showed signs (as opposed to dominating every game with 30+ disp)? As he's our first academy pick, I hope he can break into the seniors in 2020. A small goal sneak is what we are crying out for in the forward line
  8. Frosty's middle name/s is/are "dances to the beat of his own drum".
  9. Too [censored] right!
  10. Can't understand your post with [censored] too many [censored]
  11. Not old, just turned 27. If we can keep him fit he should be at the prime of his career. Sorry, but that doesn't suit your narrative
  12. His prelim game was good. Not great but good.
  13. Only one. Other was traded. Edit. AF beat me to it above
  14. And our second rounder also gets pushed by them having beginning of 2nd round pp. Double shafting
  15. Maric, tapscott, blease, strauss
  16. Find a quote where I was against a goal kicking coach or any change of any assistants? You can't. Worst poster on Demonland.
  17. Dont know about bottom 4. They are looking at a young ruck from Port Adelaide, Billy Frampton. Not sure who else, but they will certainly not be quiet during draft week/s
  18. Half back flank is not key position
  19. Jack Grimes was not a key position player. Pay attention if you can.
  20. So did his pizza shop business partner
  21. Quality post. Worse poster on Demonland
  22. See above post
  23. No he didn't.
  24. So let's see... Frost could be a gun if he went to the Hawks because Clarko can polish a t**d, but as he's unlikely to go there we'll never know. The definition of a safe assessment. Well done.
