Would have to be disguised (eg. Stretch for 5th rounder) as what you suggest could be described as draft tampering. AFL wants trades to be balanced (unless of course, it involves GCS or GWS, so maybe forget what I'm trying to say...)

It will be very interesting to see if the operations to fix the calf nerve issues make him slower. Speed and delivery were his main strengths IMO. Super talent if fit... If I'd offer 1 year base with incentives for 2. Keen to see which other clubs are interested and what they might offer.

Considering Gold Coast received a priority pick, Melbourne will likely add Caleb Serong to improve their front half.

Yes, agree with that, assuming all available due diligence is done. Check his folds and see what hes up to on social media. At interview can they ask for a hair sample for surprise testing? Get him down to the club and see what he can do on the track.
