  1. You will, of course, be aware that with all the academy/fs draftees next year our first 'live' pick would likely be pushed back 6-8 places? So 8 becomes 16 in that case. Even with pick 26 this year, that swap is genius. This year's draft apparently levels out after about 10 or 12.
  2. 3 and 8 in this draft, from new reports. Next years 1st to Norf, plus this year 26 and 50
  3. I like it a lot. Sarong and Stephens or Kemp?
  4. Good question. Not sure. There's today and tomorrow for player trades, and then pick swaps can be traded up to Nov 22 (and again on draft night). It's possible the first 15 picks might change in order up til then. I like your thinking though.
  5. Our future 1st might end up being around 16-18. Not because we will necessarily rise up the ladder, but because there is a [censored] load of academy/fs draftees next year that clubs may want to match bids on before we have a 'live' pick. I'm thinking 3 this year and the 2020 second rounder we got for frost trade might get us two picks this year around the 7-12 mark. Could land us Stephens and Weightman
  6. If we keep pick 3, I'd like to hear views from Demonland's draft intelligentsia about this guy. Should we call his name at pick 3, possibly forcing GWS to match bid? If they don't match, is he good enough to warrant pick 3? I'm not a fan of drafting for need, or bidding to force a hand. My view is almost totally 'best available' at that pick. Thoughts?
  7. Good. If something happens, it means we didn't leak. If something does not happen, we still didn't leak.
  8. Having problems understanding the phrase "he himself"?
  9. Also worth noting that whilst player trades finish on Wednesday, picks can be traded up until Nov 22. And then again on draft night.
  10. North have been ridiculously quiet so far this trading period. I thought Shaw might put his own stamp on the list and get a big name where they have deficiencies
  11. Was seen as a draft bolter in his draft year. Hasn't yet lived up to expectations
  12. You mean like the two knee recos he's already had?
  13. Happy to keep 3. Happy to trade for 6 and 11, which could get us Kemp and Stephens/Weightman.
  14. Familiar voice calling into trade radio as a Melbourne supporter. @Grapeviney???
  15. You're on. "AA superstar that will come back to BITE US ON THE RRRSE!."
  16. Raising hyperbole to a new level, Picket
  17. I think Langdon has better vision and sees how the play will develop quicker than Hunt. They are both quick, but Langdon is able to run all day.
  18. Me thinks both Kemp and Stephens will be top 10, with Weightman top 15. Would need picks 6 and 9, I'd reckon, and no single club currently has picks like that. Not sure we can do that only with 3 anyway. Might need to add our 2020 1st rounder. Back ourselves to improve with the knowledge next year's draft has heaps of academy and f/s in the top 30. Our first pick could end up being pushed back 6-8 places as clubs match bids, but I'm just speculating. Could end up being pick 15 or later. Which club could create 2 x top 10 picks this year, apart from GCS with 1 and 2?
  19. Wrong. He did his left knee twice. He himself has said the first reco when he was a junior was not managed well. We have plenty of defensive options. We should focus on improving our forward stocks.
  20. Yes, but they still have to find the points for him. Is his draft year 2020? Highly unlikely, but with all the academy and f/s nominees next year, some clubs may have to prioritise what they can take and what they might leave behind. All it takes is for a outsider club with an early pick to bid and it could stuff up a raft of planned selections. Other may know how many potential academy/fs Freo have next year, I'm not sure. We could do that this year with pick 3 and Tom Green. Makes GWS pay top price, or we get a bloody good player. Roosy did it by bidding for Mills when we got Clarry (thank christ)
