  1. There was more to 1990 than that. Our real curse was Waverley. We didn't play it well.
  2. Lever should be covered by someone fitting the role against which opposition we have. Apparently Wagner was good yesterday ( I'd normally prefer Hunt ) but if Reid looks like playing then maybe Frost.
  3. Out lever and in Hunt. The filth rely on smaller running players for their goals. Hunt would be good coz of speed. If smith goes ut see how the weed plays against williamstown.
  4. Jetta is a champ. Thaught Hogan, tmac and Oliver were great as well. Lewis played well as well.
  5. Bad luck. I still think Hunt or Frost. Against the filth I would play Hunt. They have smallish forward line.
  6. I was 9 months old when we won our last flag. I have been suffering from MFCSS for most of my life. It is an insidious form of self doubting depression. For the coming of a premiership cup may to Demons may be the only form of recovery even if only till the first loss the following year.
  7. Well done neita. It is a shame you couldn't grasp a premiership cup.
  8. If we are off by 5% then we may get done. Joneses 250th will lift the troops one would think. Be interesting comming of a game against a so called decent opponent.
  9. Oh no. It is an away game and coz it's joneses 250th I bought a ticket. Will not be happy if that is the case.
  10. Here are some statistics but they go back to 2014. I don't think there will be much greater change. WEEKLY ATTENDANCES. afl 32,163 nrl 15,940 rugby 19,629 soccer 12,347 GRAND FINAL ATTENDANCE afl 100,007 nrl 81,491 rugby 25,800 soccer 42,102 TV VIEWING afl 519,975 nrl 590,145 rugby 82,246 soccer 84,072 PARTICIPATION RATES afl 222,600 nrl 95,200 rugby 95,600 soccer 368,600
  11. I read through a google search about attendences between AFL and NRL. The site also included rugby union and soccer.. I got those statistics from that site. NRL had greater tv audiences than AFL. I can't remember the site name. Also the AFL is the 4th most watched sport in the world ????
  12. There may be something on the population per state. I know in NSW they tend to ( or used to ) watch the NRL at the leagues club or over a few frothies at a mates house. Don't know about QLD though.
  13. NRL has for a while held greater tv audiences than AFL but no where near the attendences at the games. The AFL is way ahead in live attendences. Also look at the people playing the sport and AFL is way ahead as well. Soccer surprisingly has the most people playing it.
  14. His talent has always been there. A more mature body ( and head ) and some consistent game time are meaning it is showing through. I put Salem in a similiar lot to Brayshaw.
  15. Tom Lynch. No thanks. Why do people keeping talking about trading the weed. That would be plain out silly.
  16. I am too lost for words. We have to keep alid on it.
  17. Good start. Midfield must stay on top and we should win. Long way to go.
  18. Can’t believe we lost to Girlong.
  19. Sydney do have a strong defence. Brisbane not playing too badly but they are struggling to score. Have to bring the ball in quick and accurately against swans defence.
  20. Lose 1 player and your forward line disappears. I don't care what anyone thinks their forward line is too small. It maybe interesting to watch the filth tigers duel for Mr Lynch.
