It is a damm hare job to do but in the context of 120 minutes of football players make way more mistakes than umpires in a game, the holding the ball rule is damm hard and yes I still wonder how a player with the ball has 3 players tackling him gets called holding the ball or incorrect disposal but that's the AFL problem to work it out, maybe play the 3rd man in rule, I know that's radical and still has it's problems in interpretation but it would be easier and have less packs, but in the end how many of us would be willing to do that job, nothing like being hated to 120 whatever they do. Also maybe 25 metres for short kicks instead of 15 to be paid?

Only if they see it or deem it as not worth giving but it's no good everyone complaining about the umpires, so what's the answer is the question.

What is it about people blaming umpires yes they make mistakes, caught on the wrong side to see, think players are ducking ect, the crows blew it themselves in the second quarter full stop wasn't the umpires fault for the turnovers, sloppy kicks and handballs and the pies in the third, while I agree it's frustrating at times, then what's the answer get rid of the umpires and let the captains call it ....lol., they have a hard job, it's a quick moving contact sport, it's not easy to officiate.

In my opinion kossie is not a midfielder, does not get enough of the ball to do damage, leave him in the forward line but in a different role should never go past CHF, they have to learn to ping the ball around to get it into the forward line in different angles, but we will just keep going down the line.

Agree with you on on the backline, midfield while very good at times they allow the opposition to dictate a little to much if you watch last night many times cats players were on their own allowing an out, forward line is dysfunctional, no movement at all, even when they tried to transfer the ball they had to slow it down as no one was there to to keep the chain going and thats the problem, players with the ball kicking into the forward line kick it to the wrong side of our players that do lead, Kossie should be watching Toby Greene, knows when to fly and when to stay down and crumb I could go on but will leave it there. Agree Gawn and Grundy is a work in progress, but I get the feeling Max is the one having trouble adjusting to it, but that's only my thought.

Lets talk about the pies game, we had Oliver and Petty out, the pies had Sidebottom their biggest playmaker, De Goey, Elliot and Ginnivan out and if the rumour is true some had the flu but yes we missed a lot of fairly easy shots at goal but that's bad football. Yes we will could still make top 4 but lets but there is a bit of work to be done.
