Now I didn't watch the Eagles religiously when Cox was playing but I don't remembering him taking control of games like Gawn does. He might've at times but not like Max, or as regularly. And it's a travesty that he probably won't win a Brownlow.

Every week Windsor does something that reinforces the fact he's gonna be an absolute ripper. His quick reaction to toe poke Vineys lunge over the defenders shoulder was forking brilliant. And watching Gawn launch one of his bombs is one of the best sights in the game.

Firstly ..... Thursday games suck. Was on arvo shift tonight so only managed to only see the 3rd qtr and then the last when I got home. Small mercies I guess. 2nd .... I saw Goodwin talk about earning respect from the football public after last weeks game. Prime time free to air TV, everybody watching and we stink it up like that. That's not how you earn respect. As I said I was at work so didn't see the 1st half but I had every-one in the joint gleefully giving me updates. Sure they'd changed their tune by the end but the big comeback fell short. But ya know what, though frustrating I saw a team working as a team to the final siren. And if they keep doing that, well that's all I can ask for. I can't fault their commitment. Just gotta strap ourselves in to see if we stay fit and then good enough in the big moments often enough. Yeah we got our foibles but so does every club. We're in this marathon up to our eyeballs. See if we can kick straight when it counts.

Suspected we'd be in trouble when I saw BT giving Fritta a tongue bath pre game. We love the bathwater. Been on it all week I suspect.

Blokes who have been there, done it and respected throughout the game, Gawn, Viney, Trac, Oliver, May and Lever. Think back to when Neeld was Coach. Right now he'd be thinking of making Windsor the captain.
