I was surprised Hogan kicked straight late. But he's been out of our system longer I s'pose.

Yep. Time and again they close it down with mauling ball ups.

A couple howlers let go that's for sure. The fix. I'm surprised Moore didn't get a free late when he took a dive.

The Neal-Bullen non goal
Our brand is boring, monotonous and un-attractive. If I was the media I'd wouldn't either.

The Neal-Bullen non goal
I'd like the club to make less noise in general and just get on with it. I don't wanna hear what they wanna do. I just wanna see them do it. Cause what they're sayin' and what they're doin' are different things.

The Neal-Bullen non goal
I've reminded people before the AFL is a business posing as a competition. And in the AFL business the best way to boost profits and therefor trigger various executive bonuses is to have the biggest clubs not only winning, but winning finals.

The Neal-Bullen non goal
Someone stated in the game day thread early on after a couple soft decisions that the "Fix was in." As the game wore on the the more obvious it become. Especially in the last. But at the end of the day, we forked up. The game shouldn't have even been close. Like boxing, if ya KO your opponent the crooked judges are taken out of the equation.

My 3 word end of season analysis
Very forken disappointing.

Picket v Spargo - The Learnings
Most of the side can't kick to save their lives and the 3 most accurate goal kickers were sitting in the stands. Petty, Melk and Van Roo.

Cool light of day
Don't forget we were ever so close to a monumental choke in that game as well. Make no mistake, we was staring down the slippery slope there for awhile.

Sheet. Gotta tell the missus to turn the TV down. I can hear 'em talking about Carlton in their 1st prelim for a million years yadda, yadda, yadda. I'm on another media ban for a week.

POSTGAME: SF vs Carlton
100% I actually hate watching our players celebrate goals like they've just won the game half way through the 3rd qtr and it's 6pts the difference. Max gobbing off to the opposition ruckman before he kicks the goal etc, etc. Even listening to radio before the game they were saying that all the money was for Melbourne. Only 7% or so for Carlton. Soon as I heard we were raging favourites I got that ominous sense of doom because the club can't handle expectation. I hated the pre-finals pump up propaganda video the club put out. All the talk of winning finals in Melbourne and then losing the next 4, out in straight sets 2 years in a row. Max "bullish" again this season. I could go on and on. All the clowns at work telling me for 2years we'd be out in straight sets. And we prove 'em right. Cause we're chokers. These days I struggle for the motivation to drive 700km round trip to watch the scrappy, boring, unattractive game Goodwin calls "The Melbourne way". Yes they win more than they lose but it's god awful to watch regardless of the final score.
