As much as I loved Brayshaw, Langfords a bigger more skilful beast. Couple more pre-seasons and we run him through the midfield full time. Woah nelly ...... Gonna be a sight to see.

Just finished watching the game again and a few of my takes. Turner's a beautiful kick. Some asked earlier if Bowey gets easy ball. He got 2 of the hardest ball gets with oncoming traffic ya wanna see and left 'em for dead ... Skill, bravery and toughness. Rivers coming along nicely as a big mid. X's gonna be special. Langfords got it all with a nice touch of take no sheet. AJ did well filling in ruck duties, love seeing him out there. Oliver's on the way back. Melks field kicking amazes me. Fritta ... More of that. We looked strong all over the ground. Need to upgrade on our bottom 2 spots IMO. The boys also look like they're having fun again. Lots of smiles even when we were down. Huge game for gritty self belief. Loved that we come from behind a run over them. Often (too often) is us who drop good leads. We continue to put 4qtrs together we'll be tough to beat for most of the comp. Got a nice mix of experience and enthusiastic skillful youth. If only we could klck straight we'd be very tough to beat. Rest of the season is looking up if they can bring the effort every week. Not sure if we're back but it's certainly starting to look like it.

Yeah, big loss at a bad time.

Delisting was abit of a stretch but he fell off a cliff last year after being KO'd.

Shout out the the Melk. He stated a couple years ago he was playing every game like his last. Just keeps on keeping on.

Could never understand why Goodwin would drop him. Can be swung forward too.

I've also thought he deserves a statue.

Love watching his dream come true. His goal was a determined ripper.

I honestly don't think it's a debate. They throw up Dean Cox .... Please 🙄 No ruckman takes over a game like Gawn when in the mood. And if the Brownlow was fair he should have a couple by now.

Reckon one of the Brisbane players gave the "You idjit" look to the guy who last kicked it to him. Was hilarious.

Goodwin cares little for forward craft. He's a weight of numbers man. Just keep banging it in there and eventually some will find their way through .... Somehow.

Like the bullseye in the cheer squad that gets held up every set shot for eg. No-one ever gets even close.

Fun Fact. Petracca is rated the worst inside 50 kick in the league. Of his 45 inside 50 entries, only one has resulted in a mark.

What we do know is that McClure's just a slimy grub who'll say anything for attention. How anyone can take anything he says seriously is beyond me.

2 issues as far as I'm concerned. Mentally weak and a refusal to work on atrocious ball drops. There is not one player in our side I'm confident will kick straight with a set shot. Even less less confident when we really need the goal. Some I'm absolutely confident they'll spray it. And our "best" players are some of the worst offenders. Problem is our field kicking is just as deplorable. It's hard to lead with any confidence when you just know the kick coming your way is likely to go anywhere.

If Jackson applied himself he'd be one of the best players in the competition. He seems abit too laid back for that though. I also don't think Kozzie going back to hang with the relos is a good idea.

My take ..... Bad kicking is bad footy. Issue has plagued us for far too long. Good sides take their opportunities. Also listened to Bruest after the game. When asked what Mitchell said at 3/4 time he declared Mitchell told them they were boring. Play fast and exciting and if they lose doing it .... So be it. Entertain him. I'd kill for a coach with a similar philosophy.

Well I'm goin' to spend the rest of the arvo fishin'. Relieve some frustration.
