  1. We've learnt nothing and repeat the same mistakes year in year out. Surprise, surprise. Worst part is we can even watch decent re-runs to tide us over the football free winter. Who knows ..... I might just find it a relief not being disappointed every week.
  2. Kicked three goals in the last qr with the boys riding Lily Mithens game winner home with 25seconds to go. Good stuff.
  3. I could respond but you don't seem to have a clue .... So I won't waste my time.
  4. Read 3 posts above yours. And you can fork off with your physcobabble about developement of character. My kids early lives have coincided with some of our darkest days I've taken 'em to that many poor losing games it's not forken funny. The club has the happy knack of not turning up when we do regardless of who we're playing. I said to the young bloke one QB game, "What you reckon when the crowd gets loud." "Yeah, but it's always the other teams" was his reply. The final against Geelong was the 1st win my 12yr old daughter had seen live. They are the only 3 Melbourne supporters at their school and cop plenty and now hardly give 2 sheets about football.
  5. I haven't bought a membership this year and will wait 4-5 games to make a decision. If I like what I'm seeing I'll get one. If I don't .... I won't. Living a 7hr round trip away from the city I never get full value from my membership anyway so the corona thing isn't an issue for me. What is an issue though is spending 7hrs in the car to watch garbage football. With 3 disappointed kids in the car it makes for a loong forken journey. It's not only the membership numbers that take the hit. It's also bums on seats at games. While watching at home at least if they're playing like spuds I can leave the box and go do something more productive with my time.
  6. After following this club for 50 mostly garbage years with the last 20 odd as a member, then buying kids memberships and jumpers etc (that they were too embarrassed to wear outside of games mind you) etc having to watch even worse garbage I'll say and do what I like. I call it credits in the forkin bank. Every year I try to claim membership back on tax as a charity contribution and we laugh and laugh. Well they do.
  7. Took the kids to training at Casey when Howe was still with us. The players were great with the kids with an exception. Yep, Jeremy Howe. Far too good to give any kid there the time of day. Really stood out to me as a phlog. Jack Watts and Colin Sylvia on the other hand were 1st class.
  8. Killer instinct and luck with injuries.
  9. Very strange also considering last year he tipped us for the flag stating we "Lacked nothing." I think we probably lost Hogan since. Couldn't take him seriously then and even less now.
  10. VB started waving the ol' "Going to Sydney for family reasons" card and Bang ..... 3yrs. We're suckers.
  11. I remember when my oldest daughter was about 7yrs old. I was online doing my Supercoach and she piped up over my shoulder and declared that "We were favourites and should go pretty good this weekend." "How do ya know that I asked", as I was never one too talk up our chances as we were our usual basketcase selves at the time. Much to my surprise as I'm in no way interested in gambling she pointed at the betting odds at the bottom of the page. I knew then with certainty how insidious the gambling culture the AFL is exposing the kids to. And of course we lost the game we should have won anyway and have drummed into the kids since that gambling on anything is a complete waste of money. These day I even get the guilts buying a tattslotto ticket in their presence.
  12. I did too. And the scum supporter I was rubbing it in his face stated .... "We'll still beat Melbourne." And they forken did ...... Twice. Once in the pre-season and then again during the season. Fork I was pizzedorf.
  13. My hatred for Essenscum and their supporters cannot be put into strong enough words.
  14. If he was rubbed out or even fined for that the game is truly doomed.
  15. If Viney wanted to hurt him. He would've. I'm sure he thought about it. Then changed his mind. Fair tackle ..... Play on.
  16. And you wonder why you get slapped around.
  17. When the game is on the line you need/expect the captain of all people to be making the correct decisions.
