  1. The design has a prominent white collar.....
  2. Ta. They're pretty good numbers. In terms of the question of the thread I'm actually of the view that it is in large mental. My gut feeling is he puts too much pressure on himself. And gets down on himself too quickly and too often , so gets tight. In 2020 tmac was out of the side and Jackson was a baby (still is). So Sam's spot was locked in. Played with some freedom. This season he probably feels he is in competition and has to take every chance. He is a good cricketer. Batting is all about getting into the flow state. Freeing the mind and focusion on each ball, and only on rhe ball. He should try and bring that accross to footy. But marking isn't my concern really. My issue with Sam is i don't think he plays with enough intensity. That applies to his attack on players with the ball and one on one. Too many half efforts. That is totally fixable.
  3. I might be wrong, but I suspect the dr is not really a dr
  4. Yes, well part of the problem with the vale of this number is the other stat you put up about the distance he covered in 2020. I suspect most of his marks in 2020 were taken well up the ground and mist were uncontested. The threevreal stats you want to know for a key forward is marks inside 50 contested marks total AND contested marks inside 50. How did Sam fare in 2020 on those metrics?
  5. Nothing wrong in tbe trip to nsw. But the peanut first experienced symptoms on 25 may. Worked s a afull day in an enclosed office 26 may. Thank God for lockdown because didn't get tested unti yesterday. Did however go shopping in tbe city on Sunday. Tool.
  6. Apart from running harmes on a mid, I reckon they will just go head to head. I'm pretty sure the lions don't bring an extra to the stoppages. Like us they just rely on how good their mids are at winning clearances. We'll miss viney in this game. I reckon the problem the lions will have against us is they are pretty methodical in transition, which gives us time to set up our defensive structure. And they rely very much on winning around the ground stoppage clearances and scoring from them. If we can match them in tbat area they will struggle. Funnily enough the clearances numbers might end being opposite to the dogs games ie we lose centre square clearnces and break even or win around the ground stoppages
  7. Since the Victorian outbreak began, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has kept the state border open, and earlier in the week said that the 5-kilometre limit imposed on Victorians would protect her state. "When Victorians aren't allowed to travel more than five kilometres outside of where they live that obviously does not concern us because they can't travel and get to NSW," Ms Berejiklian said on Monday
  8. Welcome to demonland junty. Give it all you've got and represent us all!
  9. A broken clock is still right two times a day.

  11. Its a good question who we might tag, or indeed if we will. Hibberd to Cameron is an obvious one. I got hsrmes tagging a mid right, but got the mid wrong. Terrific move to [censored] down libba. The lions are brilliant at stoppages and McCluggage is as important as libba for them. Logic suggests they will send harmes to him. But rich is really important to the way they move the ball. They'll want to put some work onto him. Different positions, but Salem plays a similar role and is similarly important. The other player who worries me is bailey. Exactly the sort of player who troubles our defence. And boy, is he going to be a gun.
  12. Please yell go redlegs super loud whenever we kick a goal. And a quieter c'mon redlegs when we need some encouragement
  13. Borders are open but we are in lockdown. Not allowed to leave for footy games
  14. Good points Dee. And there are any number of players who have taken time to fulfil their potential. Weed has time. And the potential
  15. Good article in terms of the discussion about our clearnce set up at stoppages and how it relates to our intercept game. It is after the blues game, but poses an interesting question about how we will fare against the dogs. A question we answered pretty emphatically https://www.zerohanger.com/footy-talking-points-melbournes-defensive-structure-and-the-plus-one-2021-84050/
  16. At the risk of turing into the resident weed basher, Kennedy was way ahead at the same age. This is weed's 2019 season and Kennedy 2010 seaon, when he was the same age as weed in 2019 (Comparing them at the same age as weed is now throws up the 2020 season, which is unfair on weed because of reduced game time) https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/pp-melbourne-demons--sam-weideman
  17. Right you are. All the same to me! On it.
  18. On it! Just got too excited!
  19. binman with the solutions: We hub in Sydney (bondi is nice) Fly in out out for the gabba on Friday night (nice short flight) Remain in Sydney for a week chilling in Bondi Fly into Qld and then set up our mini hub in Maroochydore Play pies at the gabba on Monday night of Queens' birthday, making it a big national TV event game Pump it up big time, with a big focus on the Big freeze and raising money for the MND cause Get some bands in and pre match entertainment - make it a big event, kicking off from 5pm Big freeze in the sun! We rest a couple of the younger players who could do with a spell, and give one or two players close to selection a run We thrash the pies We then spend week more in Qld doing our mid season mini camp/retreat/reset/vibing in the warm Gold Coast sun Hunty gets his golf handicap to scratch, Gus gets his downs to 8 Positivelingers gets even more positive with some chill beats and surfing with Jonesy We plan our secret moves in secret and train and vibe without masks and other vic restrictions Come home, rested, full of positive vibes, sitting pretty on top of the ladder at 12-1 We rest any key players who need more time to chill and give some of the players on the fringes of selection (eg bedford, Bowey, brown, Daw etc etc) We hammer the bombers at the G on sat night in front of a 50% capacity crowd But dees members get first crack and complete fill that allocation, leaving bombers fans to cry into their UDLs After the bombers game we are 13-1 Get it done dees!
  20. Because the comment that it was dumb business and dumb football was predicated on: hearsay that the club regretted they didn’t push harder against having to play the two games in Cairns, the fact we were forced to fly in same day as well the fact we played the most grounds of any team in 2020. going with the ' stupid he stupid “any team, anywhere” line, and losing both None of that is an example of dumb business or dumb football. We had no choice in that decision, just as we have little choice this week. Push back harder. Please. And the any team, any where line is basic footy speak, no different to soldier out, soldier in malarkey. And to be honest i can't recall anyone from the club actually saying that. Someone might have had some stage, such is the ubiquity of such a comment, but i certainly can't recall the coach or club making a big deal about it. Perhaps they should have. Because i reckon a problem was the players came into those games not in that mindset. The club and players were jacked off about the whole thing, and it showed. The post accuses the club of dumb business and dumb football, and provides specious evidence to back up that criticism. Which is funny, becuase on the latter point there was plenty of other evidence of dumb football.
