Easy to make excuses.
Weaker bodies at the stoppages?
Moloney, Jones, Trengove, Sylvia, McKenzie. All hard bodies. Expect Dunn in the middle at times, as well as Tapscott.
Their mids will be Mitchell, Hodge, Sewell, Lewis. Classier, but nothing the above can't handle.
Excuses are for losers.
Let your Demon out.

Did they mention what the Melbourne offer was? I was watching and didn't hear a figure mentioned.

Scully's Management Team: have Scully's best interests at heart, and if they are in any way professional, would keep their cards as close to their chest as Scully himself does. Why they'd tell a bottom-feeder like Stevens does not compute.
A silly judgement call on Stevens based on what? This "all journalists are scum" view is flat out wrong. A lot of journos get a lot right, a lot of the time.
Stevens is definitely not one of the journos who get a lot right, a lot of the time.
He is one of the least-informed in the business, and if you read any of his articles they very rarely bring up new information, just re-stating rumours and innuendo from other articles, radio discussions from the weekend, and quite regularly, twitter.
-
I don't think journo's would risk their reputations so much by coming out and speaking so surely that he's gone. Wouldn't their credibility be crushed if they were wrong here?
Mark Stevens/Ox do not have a reputation/credibility that can be crushed.

Base points need to be under 100 to still be eligible. Beamer was over 100, so he is out of the running.

Did anyone manage to catch the full interview with Gubby Allan on the Sunday Footy Show?
Watched most of the show but seemed to have missed it, was it pulled?
Barrett said yesterday on MMM that due to time restrictions on today's show that they have put off showing the whole interview til next weeks show.

Newton is a rookie.
I don't care if he is currently on the senior list due to the veterans rule, he is still considered a rookie come seasons end.
Let's hope I don't need to repeat this cause it really is pretty simple.

Don't like Etihad, not paying to go there, will watch on TV. It's not all about attendance, I'll go to all of the games at our home ground. I'll buy merchandise and memberships instead.
What about making some noise and supporting the boys? Its not all about dollars either. Its about outnumbering the opposition supporters.

Scully said the Dees' '09 draft class shared a tight-knit friendship - brought closer during fortnightly dinners together.
"Hopefully over the next couple of years, you'll see all those guys playing in the same team and we will have a really special bond," he said.
"There is a real nucleus there in that group that can really go forward together.
"It is a pretty exciting group, with where we are at. Hopefully, over the next couple of years, we can draft some good quality players to add to that mix as well."

I think this is a pretty horrible thread - "hey everybody, let's speculate on the kid's future!"
There seems to be a lot of speculating going on lately. At least nobody in here has stated speculation as fact yet. Give it time though.

Lucas Cook.
Why? Because im an outstanding judge of footballing talent.

He's gone. Jim Stynes told Steven Phillips at the presidents lunch today that he has signed, spoke to him just before. I was in the rooms after the game, and it seemed Jim told Dean after Dean did his presser once all players had pretty much left. Jim went to every player in the rooms to congratulate them when the boys were doing warm down, except Tom. He was the first player to go home.
Thought i'd let everyone know.
Well this post is going to double the size of this thread by about tomorrow night.

yes but his veterans rookie upgrade possie will still be available won't it?
Yes of course. But you need to delist 3 from the primary list.
-
Newtons a rookie.

Yeah he will be up there with a few this week.
It will be between him, Breust from the hawks, and I assume Menzel is eligible.
Id say Menzel this week, but Jeremy wont be far away if he keeps this form up.
-
By the sounds of it he should be alright for next week. If it was anything serious they would have had him iced up and on crutches keeping off any weight.
He will be very very important for us next week with the Tigers forward line.
-
He is playing very very well this kid. Another who has so much time so sum up the situation and uses it very well.
-
Nicholson doesn't play on small forwards like Bartram does.
But I have no doubt that he can.

I think we have found our small defender with good foot skills. Bartram...its not you.

What would it achieve?
