Heading to a pub to watch the first half, then off to see Russell Morris do his thing at Caravan Club in Oakleigh. Might have to sneak around to the RSL bar mid concert to get my fix of highlights. Hope they are worth seeing.

Fantastic turnaround from the disappointment of last week. Well done Scorps.

Thanks guys for relaying the twitter feed. I'm wondering who is in the middle doing all this feeding out to the forwards.

FFS - you mean previous generations dynasties have been put though this same [censored] erudite stuff as well?

And what about after they found out you were Avocado Man in disguise? And does Avocado Man have a sidekick? Are they called Vegemite? Relish? Mayo? Guacamole? Chicken?

Nice try. Made me LOL.

Couldn't get there on the weekend due to being in Tassie, but its the first time I've had cause to watch some of the VFL replay on the MFC website. Must say I am impressed with the camerawork when you see what they have to work with. Apart from the soundtrack distraction of gossiping from the kitchen behind, it's a nice piece of coverage for an amateur setup. Wouldn't mind seeing that paired with the Casey radio soundtrack. Most of the time the MFC players can be clearly distinguished, though it helps a lot to know their Casey numbers.

Come on Biff. Get it right. Talking in CAPS is yelling. Talking in bold is talking with a glare. And talking in colours is just being dee-luded. And Mono, nice point. FWIW, Weed and Huey are not yet ready yet.

Thanks guys for the updates, and another great show of strength by Casey.

Suddenly it feels much warmer here. That's great because I'm off to Hobart tomorrow - taking my brass monkey spheres as well. Now, which end is the opening????

Woolly bananas??! Is that like a banana wearing a knitted peter heater?

How's this: we play Carlton once, and also Geelong once. Round 22 and 23. By then, our first game against the Blues and Cats, we will already have played the following teams TWICE: Pies, Saints, Suns, Hawks and Port. No wonder it's called a FIXture.

Can't see VDB coming back in at all just yet. He's only had 1 game back with the Scorps after injury and was time-managed in that game. Didn't set the world on fire and nor should we expect him to have. Bit premature to call him back into the firsts against the Hawks, I think.

And for me, the downside of the VFL bye is that there will be no Half Time Catering Report. I had to have some stir fry pork, vegies and noodles tonight (of course after copious game day beers), but its nothing like the famed E&B rolls at Casey, denigrators ignored.

Dooo tell? Never heard of that one.

All good. No probs, There's no way anyone could hold back posters after a game. It's therapeutic, if not actually full of reason or logic. And welcome to the site DTees, may you have many more contributions!

What I couldn't understand was that you seemed to agree that there shouldn't be any hasty posting within 24hrs, but then it seemed to me that you chose to comment on Harmes, Wagner etc. within the 24hr period. I just wasn't sure that was what happened. Now that you have confirmed, and even gone on to expand on why some players need a rest, I think my suspicions were correct. Look, I'm not here to pot other posters, and I don't really like it when others do. Let's just let it go, my curiosity is satisfied, but please understand if people like me may find this contradictory??

I've recently found that a combined banana and chocolate protein shake is reasonably tasty - for a glutinous, artificially coloured and flavoured dose of Soylent Green. But still not too pleased about the constipation effects. Never experienced that before with REAL bananas and chocolate. Woops - too much info?

Umm, pleased explain?

Just so disappointed after watching that. So much like watching games of the past several years. And there's no VFL this weekend to go and watch to lift the spirits. Despite the calls that players of the likes of Dunn, Frost, Pederson and Dawes wouldn't have made a difference because of the over the back play, I disagree. So many of our attacking (and poorly directed) 'bombs' to the forward line were to a 1-on-2 out-contested Hogan as the only decent stay at home forward. But at least they usually made it to a contest, so usually the bombs had a chance. But there was NO OTHER forward as a target. NONE. SAME DEFICIENCY AS LAST WEEK. FFS when your 3rd forward, Watts, has to go and spend time in the ruck, leaving the whole front half basically dependent on one young guy in Hogan still learning his craft, what the F are the selection committee thinking???? We needed another forward / ruck in this team. It would have helped our structure no end. If those entries into the fwd 50 had been better handled, there would have been far fewer rebounds for Port to run, carry and kick over the back for their goals.

Maybe as much as Olisik is like ENYAW?

Accompanied by Lady Gaga and Belinda Carlisle? 'Guerra goes Gaga and Gogo over Guava'

BBO, I'm sure that will only add a premium to the price of the paste that Earl sells. 'New and improved massage paste as used by a randy butler and a housemaid. Limited edition. May contain traces of pubes and nuts'. Should bring out all the perves in the Fitzroy and Brunswick area.

As I said in the early game day thread, you will be surprised at what Newton and ANB bring to this game. Glad to see Newton was able to deliver the surprises.
