Well, Earl, I'm sure the bike could make it there, but it's rider is not yet capable. I've looked at it via the goggles on the goggle map but have been hamstrung by a couple of hamstring injuries brought on by that wretched game of hockey that I insist on playing. I promise you I will one day make it to Timor on the bike, but should I be looking for Wild Timor or Timor Leste? And if I go off course and hit West Papua, is it just a turn to the left to get me to Timor?

I have a theory that red wine can solve the climate change debate. I always find that by late in the first bottle or early into the second, any concerns about cold, or any other variation on climate seem to magically disappear.

Nice try, but no, that's just the way it's pronounced these days...The last Seth Effrikan I saw was in Syd-eny.

Well....yes! Without Burwood to push us north, Bok Hill would slip south and further away from the ski fields!

Careful, BBO might get a bit frisky,

IIRC it's called the Peter Principle: Everyone rises to his or her own level of incompetence..... So Earl, based on your confession, you are due to drop down to one level lower that an earl, unless you can keep your head down low enough to avoid the gaze of madam Windsor at Buck Palace. As for BBO, well if 'those who can't do, teach'; and those who have no qualifications to teach have yet to determine whether they should be in the game, then, well.....

Nothing ugly about Jazza's cows, especially when the rib eyes are done in a teriyaki marinade and seared to a nice medium-well on a hot BBQ, served with chips.

So the Tigers are playing frogs in their team now??

Earl, I'd suggest the quietness on here has something to do with a rival thread Rare Air. It's like the internet upstart - startup (how's that for a bit of language contortion? Might even score more than the usual 4/10 on an exam marked by BBO, but I get ahead of myself). Anyway Rare Air is to No T$ B$ as Linux is to Unix, as Uber is to Cabcharge, and as Air BnB is to Thomas Cook or P&O. It's just not on that a young thread can start with no credentials and threaten to take away all the inane stuff that rightfully belongs here in this thread. I call for a Royal Commission!

What kind of orchard? Hope they're plums. Felt like pruning a few plums off a few players on Sunday night.

I don't prune beards, or any other sort of body hair.....

I don't have a garden anymore, but I'm going to go out and find someone else's and work in it for the whole weekend, no radio, no TV, nuthin.

Dee-luded's posts are entertaining, but they drain all the colour and font options in my screen. He wears out my screen more than any other poster.

Maybe DEDUL-EED has an alter ego and is agreeing with him/herself?

Dare I say that Wines is doing well for Port tonight? Wines are doing well at my place too, cab sav especially. Must pace myself - got a ride in the morning.

Apparently its about to be subject of a product recall as customers have complained of a taste 'a bit like anchovies'.

Can't let the day go by without a post being registered in here! Had a huge weekend and it's taken me until today to recover. Couple of bike rides, went to watch Scorps on Saturday and to the G on Monday. Enuf said about both games already. Sun night at the Stag's Head hotel in Willy - Bender played a great set of favourites and the beers were going down a treat. Wish they had a bigger venue to play at, but at least you can get right up close to Garry and Jamie and sing along with them - Neil Young, Floyd, Bowie, Beatles, lots more

OK Earl. Fess up. How much food was in the "food"? Remember, this is a virtual men's shed. What happens in the shed, stays in the shed. You only need to eat for yourself, not the whole estate.

Hey Earl, where is this place? I work in Brunswick, so the chances of crossing paths just increased somewhat.

Bingo bango bongo R&BB. A perfect morning's 50k ride followed by coffee and fruit toast at Red Cup Café on Whitehorse Rd. (Only a toast because I knew I was going to pig out later on an egg and bacon roll at Casey). My daughter and I like to call one of the young staff members at RCC "Mr Happy". He always seems so surprised and delighted to see anyone coming up to be served.

Enjoying a Gramps Shiraz after an early bike ride around Box hill, Collingwood, Ashburton today followed by good win for the Scorps this arvo. Seems like Gramps is a wine made / named for Old Dee!

So are we talking about the progeny being BBO's head and torso joined to an alpaca's arse? Or is it the head and forelegs of the alpaca joined to BBO's arse? Both are beyond my imagination!
