I wonder what that might be? bring a full stop to the Bailey/Neeld/Schwab era? (But we've still got Jones - and Garland) Or is Watts not the trojan horse --- someone else is other than they seem? Watched him since day 1 - very talented, but not reliable in a contest. <Not> similar in approach to David Gower or Mark Waugh - they were hard as nails, with sublime skills. I <do> remember his marking in defense on plenty of occasions - QG being the last. Makes me sad that he's leaving.

I've not been a fan, but have admired his skills and his loyalty. Last year against Hawthorn, he was going one way and Lewis coming the other... Watts bent over and picked up the ball, and Lewis didn't commit. I thought that might be a turning point. And QB this year - the best of Watts - speed, hard running (not ignored this time) and real coolness under pressure. I hope this is the right decision... It's a big one, and Goodwin has a lot riding on it. I just hope this isn't a Neeld moment. The FD have been pretty good over the last little bit, and this one is one of the biggest decisions. Won't quite be the same at the G.
