  1. Kennedy and Darling vs Frost and OMac. That's the worry for me. OMac is very variable in his one-one work. Much comes down to controlling their delivery into those guys. Neville get LeCras
  2. Some chat about Oliver being "looked at" for flopping. I was there but didn't see it. Any thoughts?
  3. Not in the usual seats. Never mind, surrounded by Dees. About to have an ale and then wait for the fireworks

not sure - hope so. they targetting Hannebery +++ in (one) GF with real intent

This - they will jump into Max and tackle him to the ground hard. We need to respond, if there's violence, with totally disproportionate physical power. No more Troy Simmonds. If that sort of stuff happens, one of them doesn't get up.
  6. His kick to TMac and his handball to Jones against the Cats were pure class - the handball in particular. He read the play, intercepted the ball b/n 2 Cats and fired out to Jones - amazing skill and power. Keeps playing his role. Leaving soon... Feeling ill

Yep - just bought one for me and one for the son and heir
  8. What if they isolate Hawkins. Really isolate (pagans paddock style) I know the midfield battle is crucial but I'm more worried about the raw 1 on 1in their forward line
  9. MFCSS prevents me for saying or thinking anything rational about this game. I will just go and suffer.
  10. Richmond and Hawthorn have done very well in finals without dominating contested possession. Not sure what this means, but I'd be interested to learn. Go Dees
  11. Who are are the hard men, to sort this out. Viney, VDB?
  12. Down there with the son and heir. Agree about some missed targets. Trac reminds me of those super talented batsmen who can hit any shot to any ball. They sometimes get them selves out by having too many options. Trac is like that with his kicking. High, low, curving etc etc. Dead opposite of boring Tmac-run straight and kick straight. Tmac also sporting the very serious black socks/black boots combo.

    Nothing like talent, is there!
  14. Yep - agree. Fritsch gets the late hits after marking
  15. 100% agree CfB, and I reckon that this is an area we might be vulnerable. When they come after Salem, Brayshaw, Spargo - who's going to fix this up?
  16. Really noticable that we had some behind the ball and it's press was less extreme

    Outside run will kill us

This is going to be ugly

Banner: they should apply the mercy rule. 23 nil. 160th Guernsey ... Very navy blue

Update. Bad start to the day with Hannah out

Good start to the day. Choice of seats at this stage. Don't be fooled by the blue sky, it's bread monkeys here in the wind. I know in modern footy that being tough is putting your head over the ball and going when it's your turn. But you need mongrel in finals. Who provides the protection and does the damage for us? I like Kent for name-related reasons, and TMac is a hard man. We've got plenty of talent and no squibs. But who are GWS afraid of?
  22. This is a non-trivial issue. Whilst I welcome my fellow Demonlanders and long-suffering MFCSS afflicted comrades, I do look askance when someone is sitting in the seat where I endured the Dark Years (© MFC) in silent and no-so-silent lonely suffering. "Where were you", I think to myself, "when Neeld gave Morton that huge spray"... "Where were you, indeed, when we 'didn't see that coming', and Essendon beat us by by five million points". Just kidding - more the merrier - raise hell on Sunday!!!
  23. Just thought I'd mention Salem - his calmness and superb disposal is a huge plus for us. Kicked a beautiful right footer into the middle at a crucial moment, too.
  24. we're just not good enough. I couldn't get there. Sounds like my pre game fears came true: MyMFCSS is firmly in-charge - I worry that this will be St. Kilda Mark II. Beaten in the mid-field, then sliced open. 23 points down and half time, and never really in it. That's what happens to you when you saw the last flag this team won, and have been belted up ever since.
