All Jolimont trains go to Flinders st then on to Spencer St as the start of their next route via the Underground, to Hurstbridge etc. Not an issue. Just jump on a city bound from Jolimmint. It stops at Flinders st for no more than 5 minutes before on to Spencer.

Classy from the AA Full Back, against an opponent in his final year who should also be more respectful. That's life, wer'e all different I suppose is the excuse for Buddy.

Sensible post in the cold light of day Sue. Thanks. We now don't meet swans till GF which are the team I fear most this finals. but know they can be beaten by us with more efforts and a few lineup tweaks. Cats can and should have been beaten except for the AFL rule of "No paying of holding the ball by umpies in the final quarter against Geelong F.C". Lions are certainly beatable by us and will be the year biggest dissappointmen if we don't. And we have the AA full back in stunning form. Cameron and hawkins don't scare me. Other results like Pies losing and Tiges/Dogs being eliminated also work in Dees favour. Up the Goody and team to re-set and get Friday night done which I trust in them to achieve.

You mean like Dusty was handled by Hardwick.! No way should the club risk one of our talisman players. If we can't beat Lions without him then so be it. Let it settle and run him in hte PF if its deemed safe for him.
-
A serious option Mo I reckon. As Luke Hodge said this morning, the issue with Trac won't be the pain, but the Lions will continually push him over in the clinches. This means he has to keep getting up off the ground and that will exacerbate his issue and pain levels. Up forward reduces the crash and bash and aflling over andhe will still be a weapon.

I went to the Gabba game. Last night was chalk and cheese, and last night i wathced a different team apart from the usual suspects in Clarry, May, ....but the team can lift with some changes . Oh, and giving away 3 goals from stupid 50's is not smart. Iv'e always seen the swans as the big threat and rightfully so, so now their on the other side of the draw. I cannot believe we can't deal with Lions next week. Maybe it's his age and immaturity but after last night, Jackson is all potential , and yet to be close to realisation. 8 minutes of GF glory doesn't make a career. I'm over him staying or leaving. The Dees future hinges on far bigger issues that can be addressed. But in general we still have a premiership defensive unit which is huge . Longmire can coach us any time he likes IMO.

The best outcome at least. Any other games all at the G. I feared meeting swans in a pf. At least we dodged that. I cannot believe we won't take care of lions nect week.
-
Tiges were my second most feared team this finals after swans because of their finals experience and forward personnel. Plus G is their home ground. Good result.

The arguably greatest of all ruckmen Polly Farmer played in the '67Gf at 32, and led a perth team to the flag in his final year at 36. Max can do it. If he can go 5 more seasons, if he wants and can meet the standard, I don't see why not with nuturing from the club and medicos.

Sorry - just noticed monoccular's great posting of the photo an hour ago. Good get. Many thanks

Wish I could remember where but a couple of weeks ago I saw a photo of the Victorian Under 12 schoolboys' team featuring an 11 year old Clarry and Trac - just them, not a whole of team photo. You could easily recognise Clarry, Trac not so much at that age. This connection is a bit more than Dees team-mates, with serious history. I think it was during an interview with Trac, who noted that the team's skipper then was Touk Miller.

Nailed it for me Binman. Last time inaccuracy killed us. This game is in our own hands, but we have to put swans away and go in with a decent half time lead. Bailey Fritsch is still the only player I trust in this dept. with BBB a close second. The rest are a bit of a raffle .
-
He started on Zach Bailey to many of us suprisiing but as the game wore on it seemed as though Goody decided to match his gun midfielder , Gus, toe to toe with Neale, forcing Neale to be accountable - which he wasn't at times - and Harmes did a great connecting job on his wing and controlled Bailey. One of the better coaching signs from Goody i thought.
-
He said in finals there is no easy possessions and the good players win their own. No easy kicks. This was what denis pagan used to tell the roos. King said the dees had many of these types thus suited to finals environment. Other finals teams not so much. Good example in 2021 was cats bottom 6 players in gf. Probably improved now but no one knows till this saturday.
-
David king gave dees a good wrap today on sen. He says forget home and away from now. Finals are played in a style that suits melbourne's style .
-
Never lost a game as an Australian citizen either. He's kinda like their jake bowey of late 2021 era
-
May be wrong but i think there's an aflw curtain raiser starts at 4.45 ish. Happy to waych Daisy and team crash and bash to another dees win

Row AA is row 27 from the front. Front row is row A

I'll stop this practice (queueing on the day when I already have a reserved seat - Top of Level 4,) when the MCC/AFL/Clubs or whomever stop treating fans as idiots and they call out Ticketek for the scam it is. $7 bookning fee for a seat nowehere near Row A at 9.05 am on booking day, and no queue system despite what their website says. MFC members I know were also badly treated. Its not just MCC members. The only thing I trust nowadays is the MCC GF Ballot. Run inhouse and likely to be highly trustworthy. 2 out of 3 times usually successful. Fix Ticketek , and until then I'll double dip thank you. In 2018 to be safe I queued at a ticketek outlet at 5.00am. Second in queue. When I asked for 2 seats in a suitable bay the Ticketek staff member simply said those seats haven't been released to us for sale. Pick somewhere else. Really?
-
I agree it would be stupid, but that's what the ticketek map showed, the MCC map is incorrect and just a generic map. As menitoned by another poster on here, logged on at 9.00am and got Row Q. I looged on at 9.10 and got Row S. Physically impossible if all of Level 4 was ticketed. My experience also. The MCC and Clubs hand over all ticketting to Ticketek in finals. Only one map counts. I shall be queing up now to get a better walk up seat which should be fairly straightforward. Ticketek now shows all pre-booked areas sold out. Level 4 will not be full because of this issue. Enjoy the game and the week's break till the prelim!
-
Well done - your'e 3 rows in front of me!!! Will be lots of Dees around us at least Level 4 was all ticketed in the early days. Pity not for finals though.
-
I'm going to use this as a quote in future - attributed of course. Not necessarily off the money either
-
That's not what the Ticketek map shows. It shows the shaded areas for booking on the ground map and they're all up the back. I got connected in 10 minutes and got Row S. Should have got Rows A, B, C etc. if your theory was correct. But then again the Ticketek system is a disgrace so who knows. What I know for certain because I tested it with someone else during the booking turmoil, is that whn the site says" your in a queue so don't refersh or you'll lose your spot..." this is NOT true,. There is no queue. You just get connected on luck. I saw this with my own eyes. I was looged on and waiting for ever, a friend sitting next to me logged on - got connected in 2 minutes - I'm still waiting.
-
Strangely or not its the front rows Row A up to about Row S right across Level 4.. Booked Level 4 seats are all 'up the back'. Terrible.
