I understand your argument Macca I just don't see they are capable of the required physical effort. No amount of effort is going to make Mckenzie a good kick. It would appear no amount of training is going to give Blease the tank necessary to be an AFL mid field player. Sometimes people just don't have the necessary physical capability. IMO it is the lack of talent not the mind set. Mind Set will never cure a lousy kicking ability

Macca I do not agree with this comment above. We have one good mid field player in N Jones, one average mid in Sylvia, One trier in M Jones and a good kid in Viney. We then use half backs like Grimes or half forwards like Trengove to try and fill the roles. The rest are poor they lack either the skill or physical ability to be mid field players in the AFL. We do not have one mid field game breaker. Until we get a game breaker and 5 good mid field players we will continue to sit in the bottom 4 sides. I don't believe that JC ( let alone Royal or anyone else ) could get what we need out of the majority of this mob.

If it takes 3 years for this list to reach their potential and we continued to lose 95% of our games for the next 2 -3 years. Then IMO we can be sure of one thing MN will not be the coach come 2015. This year i have watched the guy on the MFc web site, after game interviews etc. I just hear waffle. Is that just me? I hope he has a better affect on the players. IMO Dawes made him look like a fool.

Spot on RedlegI don' want to appear a smart arse but i have just got home after a great 24 hours. Baby sitting overnight my two and half year grand daughter never ceases to bring a smile to my face. Then off to see Uni Blacks play De la salle in the top of the ladder clash. Blacks won by 11 points, close game and by Amos standards a good one. Nice to go to a football match were I have the belief that my team has a good chance of winning. My wife and I had a good day meeting a couple of friends, couple of drinks in Carlton on the way home. On the way home she said to me "nice to go to a games and enjoy yourself!" Next comment was are you going to another dees game this year? Hmm very good question

P_man I have never been of the opinion that Trengove is a good mid field player.IMO he has been pushed in there because we are crap in that area. I have always thought he is a good half forward. Forget the middle he will be a 40 goal half forward.
