  1. Left it home Bbo. Usually bring it to games to get a bit of sympathy from Opposition supporters after we have been belted. Has worked a charm the last two years, they even buy you drinks at the bar.
  2. From memory it was way shorter at about 12 months Bbo Clarke is heading towards two years.
  3. Grasping at straws tm? If only it was that simple Finding a positive at this point concerning Clark is difficult
  4. Just read the MFC site and it appears Dawes was not injured. Thank god for that. WE desperately need this guy on the front line on March 22nd and the next 20 games.
  5. Hogan was not one of the players I concentrated on Dees2014 and It was not deep in his zone a lot from memory so I don't remember a lot about him. What I did notice during the pre game work was the size of his knee bandage. Not a good sign to me but that might just my paranoia about injuries.
  6. Loyalty is not a concept that holds much water in 2014 and beyond. IMO that era has gone. The players union's main motivation is to increase the ability of players to change clubs. By the end of this decade a ten year player will be the exception. They will press for shorter periods before free agency kicks in, by the end of the decade it is liable to be five years IMO. The gates have been opened the horse is out it is just a matter of how far it gets to run
  7. Neither do I t m However I want him playing like a champion in 2016 and if that means he plays only a few games this year so be it. We have slaughtered too many kids over the years playing them too early and too often.
  8. I agree after the last two years I have a small amount of courage re predicting anything much about team make up or results. Negative ? probably. Wait and see? Yep.
  9. I saw Fitzy in a game at Williamstown I think in his first year. It was the first time I had seen him live at the ground. That day Casey got absolutely slaughtered I think they lost by 15+ goals. He was in my opinion close to Casey's best that day. Marked well and rucked well in a side getting killed. He has had a lot of problems with illness and I think he really came on last year. He played some good games at AFL level last year and Has impressed me at training this year. I will be very surprised if he is not better under Roos. To quote a famous line "I like the Boy"
  10. I don't know tm I did not notice him as injured when I left at Half time Just reacting to the news that he is injured. I thought he played well up to half time. Kicked a couple of beautiful goals from tight angles. Straight through from well out. God I hope he can stay on the park
  11. I watched the first half of the game And I don't have a lot to add to what is already written by others Just a few observations. - The days was very windy compared to the game two weeks ago and this made it more of a scramble . - Due to a number of the better players missing and the numbers being made up of Casey players the standard of the was considerably lower than the game two weeks ago. - Baring Injury Spencer will be the first ruck in round 1, - Gawn surprised me I thought he played well and took a couple of big grabs in the forward line. He was obviously short of a run. If the beard stays he will be Ned to me from here on. - As others have mentioned I was impressed with Watts, I did not see him put a foot wrong and as others have said seemed to always have time to do things. I will be very surprised if he does not have a big year. - Fitzy played well I thought, he has size, Good hands and kicked well today. He is going to take a good backman every week, if teams don't give him full attention he will hurt them on the score board. - Nicholson if he plays AFL this year we will have a large number of serious injuries. His disposal is not AFL, I doubt it is good enough for VFL. - Dawes I thought he played well until injured but there lies the rub. Injured again, honestly will this ever end. I seriously question his worth if you cannot stay on the park you are not worth a cracker. - Byrnes whatever got him in a premiership team at Geelong is long gone. Honestly play a kid not him. If we have injuries play a kid, anyone who has a possible future because he does not.
  12. I think we can cope without him full stop. I went today to specifically watch a few players he was one of them. Now I will admit I am biased against him as I have never seen play a game that he has justified his spot. He was not on for long but in that time he did the usual, bugger all. He will be gone in 2015 IMO. Simply NGE.
  13. Not sure why But I am getting a feeling you don't like them.
  14. Used to a tram ticket WJ Unfortunately there are not many of those about these days.
  15. You will need more Years than both of us have left put together waiting mono.
  16. I don't disagree with this but lets not pretend he is more than an average player who offers a bit of depth at best.
  17. Two Knee reco's in two years gives me little confidence in his ability to withstand the rigours of AFL. To my knowledge he has not yet been part of the Main training group this year, my confidence is further eroded. Your ability means zero if you cannot get on the park.
