It is lost when you cannot beat the Saints, Carlton and Essendon especially the last two who cannot beat time with a stick. Victories three months ago amount to little in the light of the last half of the season.

Here lies the problem. Because we want to see improvement we all see the players as being better than they are. In the last few weeks we have been beaten by St Kilda ( twice ), Essendon and Carlton All teams in the bottom third of the ladder. Essendon have won one game in 12 weeks Carlton have won one game in the last 8 weeks. That tells me our talent level is poor. No amount of effort compensates for a poor skill level.

Just when you think you are at the bottom they establish a new low bench mark.Next weekend Redleg will be way worse than yesterday. Freo coming off two loses will make us look like the VFL outfit we are. 100 point loss coming up.

At this time of the year I used to be looking forward to the coming NBL season. Well two years ago they consigned my team to the dust bin of the sports world so now I do not even have that to look forward to. Add in the drugies that inhabit the olmypic sports and the fiasco that is F1 and I have little to enjoy. Not so long ago there was always a diversion from the MFC no longer.

What I want is a serious number of changes to the team that plays Freo next week. We have been giving players who cannot produce games for weeks now. How about we change a few? Oh no that will make Casey worse and after the effort they put in to make the finals why should they be penalised. On reflection lets play the same lot why should they be allowed to get out of the spot light.

Sorry Praha I don't agree Carlton kicked five goals from turnovers in the first half. They were the direct result of our inability to hit targets by foot and hand. It has been happening for months. We constantly kick ourselves out of games. How did we lose to the bombers? Poor kicking. How did we lose to St kilda twice? Poor kicking. We are blessed with a team of players who in the main cannot hit targets in games be they their teams mates or the score board.

Could not kick more than 7 goals against the bottom side.Got beaten again by a terrible side. Cannot hit targets by hand or foot. Lost the only statt that matters.

Just before quarter time the Carlton supporter next to me said we are pitiful and you are making us look good. I could do nothing more than smile and nod my head. If you put your MFC heart to one side it is quite funny to watch. We are pitiful to watch and so predictable.
