Buckenara: Dees List Overrated
Agree binman however what we might have expected from Lever and May has not happened. Both IMO are injury prone, if we get 18 - 20 games out of both of them in 2020 I will be astounded. So far both are overpaid average contributors.

Spot on RD. He is not even in the top 5 when playing at Casey.

2019 Player Reviews: #9 Charlie Spargo
Oh for gods sake his first year was average, he was gifted games because the alternatives were injured most of the year.

2019 Player Reviews: #9 Charlie Spargo
I have been saying it for two years the guy has average ability at best and is too short. Why were we chasing Elliott? Because Spargo is not up to it.

Seldom has there been a thread as full of BS as this one.

Who bares the most blame?
It is shots from directly in front that concern me RN. E.G. Petracca cannot kick a goal from directly in front to save his life.

Goal Kicking Coach
Mods I started a thread at almost the same time as this one on the same subject can you combine both please.

Who bares the most blame?
I don't buy that excuse on this subject. It has been plainly obvious to everyone that our poor kicking for goal has been a serious problem and has cost us a number of games over the last three years. It has been obvious even in games we have won. For it to take three years to try to remedy the situation is deplorable. What can be more important than kicking accurately for goal. They have been numerous games where we have won every stat in a game but the one that counts the most ie. kicking a winning score. To me it screams incompetence by the FD.

Who bares the most blame?
You have to wonder at times who is the most to blame for a teams poor results. Most of the time the players quite rightly cop it because they are the living proof when the final siren blows. However a story in today's HUN shows to me that FD's should cop more of the blame then they currently get. The surprise is that the MFC are looking for a kicking coach because they are not happy with our kicking for goal. Hell there is a surprise every Dees supporter on the planet has been crying out for one since at least 2017. Three seasons guys and the penny has finally dropped I suppose we should all be happy that they have finally acted but how many more games would we have won over the last two years if we had employed someone at the end of 2017 when the problem was staring us in the face.

Premiers soon
May have been a perfect storm sue but what I learned from 2019 is that a number of the players who looked promising in the last 6 weeks of 2018 were ordinary / not senior level talents once the better players were not around them. E.g. The Weid mediocre, Spargo could not even look good at Casey this year. We have too many holes in our list to be better than 7-8th if things go our way.

Premiers soon
Macca I would have said more a miracle than a decent ask imo. That looks like a two year change not one.

Premiership Window: Open or Closed?
In 2018 we had an easy draw and had 50 goals from Hogan. At the end of July we had not beaten one team in the eight. We then had a purple patch over the last six weeks. That six weeks we had the return on AVB who made a noticeable difference . Come the Preliminary we saw how good we really were. Come this year we had a draw that was harder, a long list of injuries to important player, no goals from Hogan and we finished second last. IMO our 2018 finished faltered us but we are not as bad as this year. That brings me to 2020 still no 50 goal forward to replace Hogan and AVB probably won't play much then add a FD that is "maybe" , a number of the better 2018 players are now gone or on their last ( Jones, Hibbert, Lewis ) and I can see nothing that will mean we can improve beyond 8- 10. Zero chance of making a GF let alone winning one.

Premiership Window: Open or Closed?
Sadly I think you are 100% correct , we are better than this years result but a Premiership threat we aren't.

Premiership Window: Open or Closed?
Firmly shut we currently have holes on and off field you could drive a truck through. If things go our way we might fall into eighth place. I watched the weekends games, the teams involved had a number of players who turned the result. we have no one who could turn the result of a high pressure final. The two teams on Saturday have multiple key forwards who are can kick 4-5 goals we have one average KPF. Lots of work needed to be a credible finalist let alone win a GF.
