I am not trying to show off or put you down LF but I was there in 60, and 64. Seemed like it would go on forever we were the Hawthorn / Geelong of that era. Here I am 48 years later waiting for the next episode. Just because I have seen two does not alter the pain of the last 6 years. Just means I have gone from a youth to an old [censored] in what seems like a short while. However I have been occupied avoiding the Vietnam war, getting married, becoming a father and Grandfather. So a few other good things have happened along the way. I think without Demonland I would have quit at some stage over the last six years. So hang in there LF Surely we must get better later this decade.

If Eddie is panicking I can understand why. IMO whenever Cloke has been down on form so have the Pies. I know a team is more than one player But Cloke makes their forward line without him they are average. If he leaves who kicks the goals at Collingwood. 2013 and beyond without Cloke will become very ordinary for the Pies. A small part of me wants Eddie to be successful with a deal for Cloke. But a bigger part wants Cloke at Freo or Carlton.

Totally depends on your idea of a "few" . We are bottom material all the canny recruiting in the world will still take time. I see us at the bottom and 2013 is the first year of trying to rise. A lot of hard work is ahead I hope you can tell me in 2015 that I was way out.

You are covering it pretty well for me RobbieF. I think that is why I hate that bloody Blazer so much. It is a symbol of us being stuck in the past. It is half a century since we were consistently great. Lets join the 21st Century and stop living on past glories. They are so far "past" that most supporters were not alive when they happened.

It does not depress me further nutbean At about 5pm on Saturday 31st March 2012 that was apparent to me. By the end of April I knew that it was going to take 3 years just to be competitive and probably 5 - 7 years to be top four material. My feet are well grounded. I think most people know we are in for a long slow grind to get from the bottom to the top eight let alone higher.

I will start by saying I have a poor opinion of our list and that is probably not news. It astounds me how many people on Demonland are never happy. Here are two guys training early in there holiday period in Melbourne. They are not getting drunk somewhere or being arrested for kicking a car etc. No they training in mid September. Well that looks like good news to me. Can we just for once accept that some of our players are serious about their futures and leave it at that. Please keep your prejudices in check for five minutes.
