  1. A terrible game became unbelievable in the last 40 seconds FMD!!!!
  2. Yeah but they’re are great to see against a team you hate!
  3. Geez, wouldn’t you love Carlton to knock off the Filth
  4. As I'm confident of a win I would have loved to escape the chill by going north to watch this game. However, as there is something of a cash flow crisis at The Manor, I shall settle for the big screen. The maid is ironing her Gold Coast outfit in preparation of a post game celebration.
  5. Get with the times Ernie! Porn is just as readable in E format as the printed page. In fact there are some quite practical advantages.
  6. I thought his work as a back up in the ruck was very good and that last quarter clearance from the centre was a gem and team lifter. He seemed somewhat at sea as forward though - is he more comfortable and useful as a defender?
  7. I don't like to knock champs who are getting toward the end of fantastic, generational career. However, his form this year has been poor ( not helped by an early injury) and his place in the team must now be considered marginal at best. Probably time for him to pull the pin.
  8. Yes he did give two away but it's a [censored] confusing rule and the second on was marginal at best. However, other than that, he was our best. Without his positive contributions we lose.
  9. Harmes ( He is a key player for us . Makes a huge difference when he is getting the ball) Gawn Clarrie Salem Hibberd Frost.
  10. Free giveaway today! [censored] bottled water!!
  11. You're a sicko DV8, what are you doing on this interlecktual thread? No …………. hang on ……………… you fit in.
  12. I too am really [censored] off at the moment and decided not to attend on Saturday. However, @Moonshadow , pleaded with me to go because he has no friends and is uncomfortable being alone. Anyway, for some reason, a sliver of optimism has been ignited and I think we have some chance. My main concern is who is going to kick goals to give us a winning score. I really hoped Preuss would be back as he appears to be good for a couple himself but, more importantly, gives us some structure. Dropping Weid won't make much difference because he's given us [censored] all this year. We urgently need TMac to regain some form and god help us could we find a crumber. I've said it before but I would like to see Jones playing forward pocket.
  13. It wouldn't do the banana a whole lot of good either MD! Very incisive DV8. Ernie is just dissembling in an effort to justify his sordid past.
  14. Ernie! I must say I find your concern for my personal welfare quite touching ……………… and it must said, rather more pleasant than your usual moral judgements. ( and …. given that you are a deceased drunken womaniser.. I find those a tad hypocritical) However, if you find my generous and conciliatory overtures to the good Earl unusual then, just between you and me of course, I must admit to a level of self interest. The goings on at the Earl's inner urban fortress have become quite legendary among those of questionable repute and I'm hanging out ( so to speak) for an invite. As to my personal life. Well there is much I'm not "telling" about. For a start, I would be permanently removed from this august forum and secondly, most likely become a person of interest for the moral police.
  15. My Dear Earl I'm sure you understand there was nothing personal in my denial and subsequent shunning of you. It's just that that scheme of selling alpaca wool mittens into South East Asia that you conned persuaded me into did cost me a rather exorbitant sum. A sum that, by coincidence I'm sure, would be approximately the price of your rather gaudy vehicle. Ah well … let bygones be bygones I say. Perhaps an invite to sample your sommelier's choice and the licence to indulge in some of the other "offerings" at your Fitzroy pleasure palace might be a step toward restoring good relations. Cordially Your forgiving Uncle Bitter.
  16. Yes it can be a lottery when Frost has the pill in hand But …. he has pace, endurance and is prepared to take the game on and back himself. I'll take those qualities at the moment.
  17. They've done a lot more than that. When I was sloshing beers with Moonie on that memorable finals night I thought I was seeing the end of an era for Geelong and the beginning of one for Melbourne. FMD I clearly know [censored] all !!
  18. Consider the reinvention of Geelong after an unsuccessful finals campaign. Everyone outside the club wrote them off for 2019 and beyond, however, the Cats culture and professionalism has seen them emerge better and stronger than ever. Yes Ernie, this nails it. That comparison is simultaneously damming and painful. We celebrated mediocrity over the summer while the Cats did something about it.
  19. You are on dangerous ground with the above post @Petraccattack! @Redleg will likely send some of his criminal associates around to break your legs.
