Thanks Eth. Didn't think it was that hard to understand.
Funny stuff
For the people who aren't good at maths
7 plus 13 also equals 28

I think you are joking...I hope you are!
Okay, maybe 60% of the size. And they're $4.90.
-
Definitely. Will be heading off shortly.
Hopefully we have a bit of a turn out. Not 'liking' a particular ground never really seems a good excuse not to turn up. Get there and hope the boys can put up a committed effort and raise their heads after last weeks effort.
Also praying for no injuries from game. Always worried seeing that moving turf.
Go Dees!
The hot chips are $5 and they're half the size of the chips you get at the G.
And you don't get to sit level 1 even if you're a member of the away team.

Whenever it's not interstate or at Geelong I should be at the footy, and so should all of you

I'd like to send my best wishes to Michael Barlow & his loved ones after this horror accident.
I wish him well & a full recovery having had a similar break from a motorcycle accident years back.
Know what you mean, when you cleanly break a bone, it's pretty nasty...takes a while to heal too

Theyve played 104% of games?
They've won 65% of games at AAMI - 65 games won for every 100 played
They've won 39% of games not played at AAMI - 39 games won for every 100 played
It's about 52% overall

Screws up a lot of Supercoaches. Poor guy

We wore the clash guernsey in Rounds 11 and 13 and we lost them both. Round 7 we wore a different jumper (pink and navy blue) and we lost that too. Maybe you're on to something here caco...

MELBOURNE coach Dean Bailey says he will make some minor tweaks to the team's pre-match preparation in a bid to arrest the recent trend of slow starts to games.
The Demons meet St Kilda on Sunday, and Bailey said his side's poor starts had to be addressed.
"We looked at a couple of main things in the warm-up. We'll probably trial some of that again," Bailey said on Friday.
"We don't want to change all of it, just throw it all out and start again. That's the wrong message to send. We'll keep working at it, but we don't want it to be a massive thing."

there was an article about jack in the herald sun today... or was it inside footy mag... either way it says melbourne will be keeping an eye on him
We're keeping both eyes on him, the club's already given him a footy jumper

Another move that seems to have gone unnoticed is Jones turning in to a tagger. A great experiment and could really set up NJ's career, especially with a developing midfield. Some weeks he has played well, some weeks he hasn't, again, it hasn't hurt the team one bit in its development.
Could be interesting, and with a midfield of Trengove, Scully, McKenzie, Gysberts, Davey, Viney, Morton and Moloney to come, it may be the only way to him to hold his spot.
And he's a damn good player too, which says something about how our midfield's going to look.

Another article I did, hope me posting it here is alright.
Do you agree with them all? Any other suggestions? Who was unlucky?
Feel free to comment.
Joe, when you write articles that aren't really relevant to Melbourne you probably shouldn't post them on Demonland

Doesn't sound like a bad idea - he's a booming kick and a good runner.
But, I don't see it happening this year. This is something that will need to be worked on during the pre season.
Considering that we're playing the Saints who currently don't have many talls in their forward line, this week might be a good time for him to play forward. We're also unlikely to beat the Saints, so I reckon it's worth trialling.

Get a load of this article written in the smh, what an idiot - Australia's best Athletes are wasted
Read this before. Just another Sydneysider, don't listen to him

Agreed. The inconsistency is a joke - but bloody hell it couldn't have happened to a better person.
Didn't Baker get a seven week suspension earlier in his career?
That increases the suspension by 50% - from eight weeks to twelve.
And only two of those suspensions he deserved - two of the striking charges. So that works out to be four weeks, plus 50% is six. I personally would have given him four, but I reckon he'll end up with six.
The AFL protects the stars now, if Baker elbowed Pavlich or bumped Sylvia, that's four weeks for him. But not for the Judds, Abletts and Riewoldts.

Agree with very thing you have said here mate and think he has a lot more upside then Warnock or Rivers( bigger, quicker, younger) as long as he does kick it!
I don't see what's wrong with Warnock. He's a KPD. He prevents KPFs from scoring goals and he does that well.
Martin is a dud.
-
Stef Martin has to be developed as our main BIG backman. Not sure what to do with Rivers but Garland and Frawley are flexible enough to play tall/small and give Warnock the 2nd big bloke.
I am so sick of hearing about Stefan Martin being good. He will never be good. He has no idea what he is doing when he plays.

Remember how many young kids are in the team. Of course they'll be a bit chatty and unfocussed.

Barty shouldn't get dropped. Will get the job on Milne. Was hardly our worst today.
Knew I was forgetting somebody, check my original post

In : McDonald, Sylvia, Bennell, PJ, Gysberts
Out : Miller, Morton, Warnock, Jetta, Watts
I know there wont be that many.
Paul Johnson last played AFL on the 15th of May, 2010. It will stay that way for the rest of his life.
IN: Junior, Sylvia, Gysberts, Cheney
OUT: Miller, Jetta, Bruce, Joel Mac

Jack Grimes has played about 20 games, and if his current form is any indication, he will be a star by the time he reaches 50 games.
He is number 198 on our list of problems.
We have 198 problems? [censored].

It's time Garry Lyon put his money where his mouth is... Show some spirit and love for the club and give up the big time cash for a few years and bring us the fire we need. We won't get anywhere with this mediocrity.
