They're probably confirming that Scully and Trengove will play Round 1.

He's gonna miss a good Melbourne victory D:

Nice photos there, great to see the footy season's back. And yeah, I have to agree Etihad Stadium is looking crap.
-
The AFL are being 100% consistent. Screw Melbourne at every opportunity.
True.
-
The thing is, the AFL haven't been consistent. Look at a few silly suspensions from bumps last year. I think Josh Kennedy's bump was harder, and it caused an injury to the player because it was head-high.
-
Forget the stats, Lyon was twice the footballer robbo was.
I wouldn't say Lyon is twice the player Robbo was. Robbo in my opinion is a better player, but it's all basically just opinion. I don't think Robbo would be considered an AFL legend however, as there are just too many greater players.

Exactly. It's head-high contact, which should be an instant free kick. And the AFL still aren't releasing that footage. It's like they're waiting to see who can figure out how to bump perfectly without being told how to, which is plain stupid.

This really gets to me. So the AFL's gone and deemed Josh Kennedy's bump to Colin Sylvia 'perfect'. If it was so perfect, how come it broke his jaw?
Coming from an annoyed Melbourne supporter

Hmmm I hate admitting Melbourne is that 'average'.
You're not admitting that, because it's not true.

If he was bigger I'd agree, but a guy his size would drown at FF with the support we can give him.
Just look at Matthew Lloyd and Daniel Bradshaw. They can't be much bigger than Brad Green.
Anyway, who said a full forward has to be two metres tall and weighing 100+ kilos? Put Greeny there for a few games and see how it works out, because nobody else can play full forward besides Mark Jamar, who is our first-choice ruckman now.

24,838 members now. I can see the new slogan, '30k members by sometime halfway through the season please'

I was already going, but that just makes it better.

Okay, here's my tips.
1. St Kilda - Will have another very good season, although not as good as the last IMO
2. Doggies - This year has to be it. Hopefully will pip the Saints in the GF
3. Geelong - Starting to slide, but still contenders
4. Brisbane - Two great forwards now, a better midfield, but defence is what they need
5. Collingwood - Unlucky fifth for the Pies. Jolly will be a great add
6. Adelaide - Watch them drop when Goodwin, Edwards and the rest of the 30+ players retire
7. Hawthorn - Can't see them any higher. Missing a few things though
8. Essendon - Should scrape in. Will find it hard minus Lloyd however.
9. West Coast - Will be top 8 in 2011 I reckon
10. Melbourne - Shaky pre-season so far, but I think we will be strong finishers
11. Carlton - They've lost Fev. That's 4 goals a game gone and they won't fill that gap
12. Fremantle - Rebuilding in odd ways. They'll take a while to get to the top eight
13. Sydney - Not much good about the Swans this year
14. North Melbourne - Will fight for second-last with Port
15. Port Adelaide - Haven't got much to really get anywhere up the ladder
16. Richmond - Hard to look past this. It's kinda like the West Indies losing Chris Gayle.
I can see the Dees beating teams up to the likes of the Bombers, but I think a few injuries and lazy performances against lowly teams will put us in 10th. Just my thoughts :D
That 'perfect bump' to Colin Sylvia

That first one was completely unnecessary from Kerr. Obviously I missed that. And that second one is just great.
Has Sylvia been on yet?
