5D is full frame, 7D is not. 5D uses both SD and Compact Flash, 7D uses just Compact Flash (can’t recall what limitations there are regarding the size of the CF card). I used to use a 7D and upgraded to a 5D Mark III... now dreaming of when I can afford to upgrade to a Mark IV.
